Taylor clearly exaggerated how disappointed she was with the lyrics she was told about. She did hesitate a bit in the video of the call, but I wouldn't exactly say she ''cautioned him''.

She was never told about the lyric, ''I made that bitch famous'' and that is the problem here. That was always the problem and anyone saying different is in denial. Her whole Grammy speech was directed at that line.

Either way, I am not sure why anybody in this thread is defending such a misogynistic song. Regardless of whether Taylor approved it or not, he should not have done it. At no point should he have thought calling Taylor a bitch and claiming he made her famous was a good idea. Especially in the context of their relationship.

I understand the forum hates Taylor, but you guys need to look at things more objectively.

Kanye is vastly more critically acclaimed and influential for music than Taylor has been or ever will be.

The crux of Kanyes pov is that she used that incident in order to elevate her profile even more. It's not a line to be taken literally, neither the might still have sex nor the bitch famous lines were meant to be. That's pretty much Kanyes whole point.

If you were cool with it when Ye called you why don't you just say so? If you changed your mind.why not just admit you had a change of heart. At this point, it became her brand really. The sweet innocent perfect girl who's been a victim of sortts. This isn't some kind of secret knowledge though, lots of people seem to be able to see through her whole cringy fakeness long before any "expose".

I think the fact that everyone knew she was doing this kind of thing for a while now is what makes it so good that Kim K finally nailed her.

I don't particularly care for Taylor. She does come across as a bit slimey.

The fact is that she was never alerted about the line she has been talking about being annoyed about for the past 5 months. I mentioned she was exaggerating about ''cautioning'' him, but I understand why she would be annoyed after hearing that line without being alerted about it.

Either way, Kanye was nuts to release that song in the first place. Attacking a woman in that way is not okay regardless of whether she approved of it or not. You cannot deny that.

I realized that when i started watching the OJ Simpson documentary. Like the guy had a totally different persona in public it was freaking crazy meanwhile beating the shit out of his wife and killing her. its crazy.

I mean, even if you take everything Taylor (and her camp) has said at face value, does the person who was so easy going and gracious on the phone seem like the same person who would hear one unapproved derogatory word and immediately start blasting on a public stage?

Whole thing just stinks of Taylor thinking there hasn't been enough sympathetic press about her in the last 5 minutes, so she creates another fuss by painting herself as the victim again who's overcome so much adversity and hate to get where she is.
 
I listened while drunk last night, now I'm at work and can't remember: does he relate the "I made that bitch famous" lyric to her? Or any type of "I made her famous" statement. I could have sworn he recited it to her, yet her Grammy speech insinuated she was blindsided by the comment and her PR rep claimed Kanye never called.
