99% of this is funny. Shame about Selena though, lost all respect for her. She ain't slick thinking deleting that tweet was going to make people forget she made it.

Didn't have any respect for Chloe to lose, but her silence on literally every world issue she said everybody else should be focusing on is damning and notable.

Uh we haven't seen the whole call. He absolutely could have said he is glad she is cool with the line he read to her and that he was seeing if she could release it on her Twitter. And the statement isn't disproven about the lyric either, as the line mentioned in the statement is not in the footage. And we also didn't see if there was a part where she questioned the message he was going for. We did see him try and explain that he wanted rap that didn't make people feel bad, but we don't know that this wasn't a response to her expressing concern.

A lot of these clapbacks are like getting RKO'd out of nowhere
The RKO is a finishing move performed by the Wrestler Randy Orton
Randy Orton is often referred to as "The Viper"
Vipers are a species of Snake... just like Taylor Swift.

Do you get paid for your attempts to protect her sanctity?

Chloe?

Absolutely nothing.

Pretty much. This is nowhere near a career-ruining thing.

I'm more curious about how all of this affects her personal life. People assuming that you'd be willing to use them for publicity can't be very beneficial to your reputation for making real friends or actual dating, and being famous already limits that pretty substantially already. All the stress brought on by being a pop sensation while steadily losing your support systems can't be good for you.

The ladies of The Talk went all in on Kanye. About his disrespectful lyrics, about recording Taylor without her permission, etc. They did discuss her conspiring with him, but for the most part they were #teamtaylor.

They know their target audience.

This part:

Is complete bullshit though?
Fill in the blanks is fun. The statement is not a lie if he started the call with something like "hey I wanted to talk to you about the release of a song I've got so let me go over this with you" Like seriously too easy to speculate. Is that spin for Taylor to say that? Yeah, she's playing him at the least. But is it a reaching lie if she really is offended at his claims of approval for a line they have no footage of him disclosing to her? We don't know because we don't know how he framed the conversation when he started or ended the call. It is easily possible that the crux of it by the end of the call was seeing if she would post it to Twitter. You don't know.

Kanye was handling this classy IMO, but Taylor still hasn't been shut down on her technicalities. Kim might call it an approval phone call in defense mode, while offended Taylor might have heard the song with the bitch word and to her it boiled down to a shady request for her to release it in which he left out something she had certain feelings about (its not unlikely that he could ask her in the phone call somewhere about how he wanted to know if she would release it on Twitter).

Taylor is in the wrong for letting Kanye feel safe over the song, but if that one line set her off, she's still kept her claws on it since it was never shown on the tape.
