Charlemagne is actually defending Taylor on Twitter, before the vid came out he was all on Kanye's side.

He and the rest of the Breakfast Club are in the "Taylor Swift was mad about the line 'I made that bitch famous'" camp, so they want video/audio of Taylor hearing that lyric.

Nah, but seriously if Kim releases the Snapchat of Taylor consenting to being recorded AND the one of her approving of the bitch line she's fucking over

Then you'll wonder where did all the Taylor stans go in this thread 👀👀👀

Shes over? lol what about her music

yall some kanye stans up in here tho

So Kimye sat on this this whole fucking time? Through all the shit that Taylor and the media talked?

Sometimes you have to let the blocks stack to get the Tetris.

I can't believe Kim held on to that footage until national snake day, that is some next level dragging.

she getting really dragged too

In time for TG16 pls

Oh no. I remember him saying he KNEW she plotted this on his podcast.
Well he can still be right about that and disagree with the recording of the call and he is noting that she hasn't actually been caught in a lie since the line she said she didn't approve wasn't on that phone call as far as we know. Plus, she never denied they had discussed the song. I think he seems to be most upset that they are trying to stick someone with a phone call that's a bit of a straw man since Swift never disputed having a phone call.

For more iconicness, join our PopGAF thread where;

tea will be spilt
Receipts will be checked
Taylor will be dragged
Lady Gaga will be praised
Mariah is 'qween'

Gotta say, this thread has been great for laughs. Might have to check more often.

Someone needs to photoshop gif GOT
Kim as Cersei as she sets everyone on fire. With Margaery/Taylor, and Selena/ Tommen jumping off

After reading some of the tweets I think he's actually more upset that Kanye actually had to ask for permission from Taylor. Which I kind of agree with too.

Well he's got a few issues but Kanye didn't have to ask permission. He was very classy and said to Taylor he values relationships more than punchlines and just felt he should ask as a friend, not that he had to for any legal or PR reason.

But Charlemagne is definitely pointing out that he doesn't like the recorded call and he doesn't see what Taylor's lie is considering the lyric she went after isn't on the call, and the call was never denied by Taylor.

WHAT IF THIS WAS A CALCULATED MOVE

If it was then that's some next level shit right there.

Edit: I just remembered the meltdown where Kanye was mad about his stage props in SNL and he also mentioned he was mad about "fake ass, Taylor Swift." So it couldn't have been planned from all the way back then, since he seemed genuinely upset she crossed him with the Grammy speech. If there's some calculation going on it has to be about the way they release these clips.

Her current story, going by her Twitter post, is that what she specifically has a problem is with being referred to as "That bitch." However, her previous statements have focused on the whole lyric. She said things like: "Don't ever let anyone say they made you famous." She didn't publicly object to the use of "bitch" until today.
She's not actually interested in being removed from the narrative, she's rewriting her side of the narrative now that she's been called out.

article has changed now to remove that part

This is really starting not to seem like the slam dunk everyone wants it to be.

I mean if the other shoe drops and she's caught in pretty big lie that would be some juicy drama.

Otherwise it's bunch of people yelling in a circle about how someone else should feel about being called a bitch in a song.

"Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account,” said Tree Paine, a representative for the Ms. Swift. “She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.” She added, “Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’"

Swift and her team are lying like crazy.

This statement is nothing but bullshit.

Excuse fellow Gaf people, I'm from Boltschikisthan...what is a Taylor Swift?
Is it woman in Gifs trying to dance like 80 year old Boltschikisthan woman with broken hip?

After reading some of the tweets I think he's actually more upset that Kanye actually had to ask for permission from Taylor. Which I kind of agree with too.

His argument on the Breakfast Club this morning was that Eminem never had to ask for permission to diss pop artists and that hip hop artists shouldn't need permission for lyrics, but Kanye's track was never meant to be a diss towards Taylor/he clearly thought he was friends with Taylor prior to releasing this track.

Uh we haven't seen the whole call. He absolutely could have said he is glad she is cool with the line he read to her and that he was seeing if she could release it on her Twitter. And the statement isn't disproven about the lyric either, as the line mentioned in the statement is not in the footage. And we also didn't see if there was a part where she questioned the message he was going for. We did see him try and explain that he wanted rap that didn't make people feel bad, but we don't know that this wasn't a response to her expressing concern.

This part:

Is complete bullshit though?
