Where's this schedule pic?

Well, we know Lego Dimensions' Sonic content will be shown, so they can't be done with the game announcement portion, at least.

It's buried in the main thread, but at 9:55 they have a 5 minute segment entitled "???????" which is presumably the trailer for the new game.

This looks pretty damn great. Totally unexpected too. Stages look good, graphics look great, movement looks fast. Sold!

Now Sega just needs to come out with proper mini-Genesis (not the horrible licensed stuff) for their classic games and we are back in business.

Going the Valve route sort-of -- taking people in the modding scene, bringing them on to create a great project.

As soon as I saw Whithead's name, I knew I was in for something great. Those Sonic 1/2/CD ports are GOLD.

Well, I'm somewhat optimistic. Taxman, Tee Lopes, and others involved with Sonic Retro and other enclaves coming together to make an official fangame? What a world, and I'm glad this project's happening. At the very least we'll have strong opinions about this game when it comes out—hopefully the level design and physics mesh well enough. This and Freedom Planet will make for an interesting comparison.

This shit looks extra Sonic. I'll probably buy it just for nostalgia and I'm not a really big Sonic fan. I bought 4 also. Yeah. But this is different!

Christian Whitehead as Lead, Stealth on the team as Headcannon, Tee Lopez doing the music, the art style of the game being based on an overclocked 32X and running in the Retro engine.

Well, what more could classic fans want, I'm actually very interested.

But Transformed got a Wii U version and Lost World was a Wii U game, unlike the previous half decade before that where Generations did not come to Wii and Unleashed was just a PS2 port from the C team.

Wat. What this has to do with sales? It's a fact that Sonic's games get the biggest sales on Nintendo platforms time and time again.

This seems nice for a side project, but is this really all that Sega is putting behind this anniversary?

I like the 2D but was hoping for something perhaps grander...

I don't know, just initial feelings...

Looks nice. Animation is really smooth.

Hope it comes to any Nintendo platform though. If not I can play it on PC I guess.

Is that a new Sonic sprite? Looks nicely updated.

Bye bye Sonic Cycle?

Keep in mind that if the Sonic cycle were in effect, you'd be in the "hopes are raised" "Fans begin to claim this as Sonic's triumphant return" section.

I think that meme is dead, regardless.

There's a 3D one being announced today too, by Sonic Team, not these smaller studios.

They did the right approach: give to older fans who are great developers the development of the classic game... and focus on the 3D one.

It has nothing to do with sales, I have no interest in a sales discussion. I was saying how despite a history in the previous generation of Sega skipping the games with their most effort on Nintendo consoles, it hasn't been the case for this generation (half decade).

Question: Why are developers/publishers still releasing 30fps videos of 60fps games? YouTube has supported 60fps video for what, two years now?
