Metal Gear Solid V 'Definitive Ex' listed by Amazon (Chapter 3?)

I'm not gonna buy this.

I'm gonna buy this.

If it has chapter 3 I'll have to buy it...

Yeah... pretty much.

I'm gonna have to buy this again, I know it.

KONAMI
I WILL SPEND ANOTHER £40 IF YOU GIVE ME CHAPTER 3.
£100 FOR SNAKE EATER REMAKE IN FOX ENGINE.

Let's say this turns out to be a real listing and includes chapter 3. All of you are agreeing to give konami at least $40 more for cut content. No wonder game companies get away with this shit

For a real twist of the knife, this ones box absolutely will have A HIDEO KOJIMA GAME on the top.

My only hope is that when that Konami rep said "We will gain your trust back" he knew something we don't.

Why else would someone make such a claim without something to back it up.

I hope it's chapter 3 for my soul... but not for my wallet.

I played Ground Zeroes and TPP on PS3, so if this is a retail edition with both included for PS4 I would buy it again if I want to replay the games again in a few years.

If it removed Kojimas name and general credits popping up every mission, fucking do it

It was dumb
I hate Kojima's name getting scrubbed from all his works as much as the next person

But yes, those episode credits need to go.

More items/guns

More skins

New game +

New buddy

More tapes

More subsistence, stealth and extreme modes.

Any of that stuff would be great but honestly I doubt they do anything new. They will just pack everything together including dlc and GZ.

Adding the content back into the game which has been confirmed to be removed (Episode 51, Battle Gear) would be a nice first step

lol "removed". some people act as if there is this missing chapter and all this extra stuff that was fully made and ready to go. i dont think that stuff was removed so much as not completed. as in, it was conceptual, they were working on it, they got a little ways into it, and decided to focus on other areas of the game instead, due to the hard deadline.

based on the very rough video leaked of mission 51 this "nice first step" would have included probably millions more pumped into development to finish just those two things. and Episode 51 is a repeat of a boss battle that is already repeated in the game! to imagine Konami would loudly and public ally halt production on this game only to start it back up again is silly. they have moved on, Kojima has moved on, it's time for the fans to move on as well.

MGSV is pretty much is what it is. it's messy and rough in areas but it's a finished product. most great art is flawed and that is the case here.

unfortunately it's like appreciating the Venus de Milo while someone screams over and over "where are her arms? lol - lazy"

Because it was a game they enjoyed, it's their money. I'll buy a copy even if it's just gz and tpp bundled since I like collecting mgs shit

Tldr eat it

Nope... Metal Gear Solid V is dead to me. Worst Metal Gear game because it's just unfinished
with the exception of actual gameplay

"Told you so" as in, you knew this for a fact or that you guessed this would happen?

Bro, I could have told you so that batzi would make a post with no actual content while also pretending to be an insider.

You obviously didn't see my post a week ago when I said that a complete edition was going to be announced at Gamescom and that an MGS3 remake will be announced later.

Including chapter 3 would be some legendary fuckery. But Konami would never invest the time to do it when they could just release skins and shit.

You obviously didn't see my tweet three weeks ago when I said exactly the same

Why is Chapter 3 in discussion? Have definitive editions ever included previously unreleased content before? Isn't it normally just a collection of what's already released?

Yes there have been many re-releases of games that included previously cut content but it doesn't happen often.

The Phantom Episode wasn't 100% complete, sure. But it was planned to be a part of the game at some point. In the Collector's Edition, we were shown a portion of the episode at 30% completion. "Removed", "excluded" - call it what you want. The Battle Gear was playable at one point, but when it was time to release the game, it wasn't. Not to mention that I never brought up Chapter 3. I don't know why you responded to my post if you're trying to suggest that I have some dissatisfaction with the product we got, because that's about as far from the truth as you can get. I specifically stated that I was being hopeful, but have a problem with that if you want, I guess.

I mean, that content was presumably cut because they couldn't finish it up in time, so the likelyhood of it being included is pretty much zilch.

Honestly, I always saw chapter 3 as the FOB endgame given that it's titled peace and once disarming all nukes you get the peace ending.

I don't think another whole chapter was actually planned.
