I'd still be in the Fuck Konami camp but if it was good I'd give props to the developers.

Same deal with MGO. The team that took the helm made the game a lot better but Konami seems done with it at this point.

Today there are dlcs, no way new contents would release only in a new retail version. This Definitive Ex is just a GOTY.
 
I'm a massive fan of the series but since Kojima's departure it's over for me. Konami aren't getting a dime from me ever again
unless they re-released all MGS1-4 on current gen
 
It's more likely that Valve announces Half Life 3 today than this will have a chapter 3, which by the way without Kojima wouldn't even scratch my interest

New map on an island which looks to have more jungle (from concept art). The battle at the end would
also involve combined forced of diamond dogs which would have been incredible
.
 
They can add a Chapter 3
Still gonna be the story (huge spoiler)
of Venom, without Big Boss actually showing up,
and people still gonna complain

I don't regret the hours I've put into the game, absolutely loved the gameplay and whatever story bits there were. If the game was complete and had no filler missions, it would have been a masterpiece. I doubt it's chapter 3 but I hope they release it for the fans who still want it.
 
Chapter 3.

MGS 1-4 in Fox Engine.

Give Snake some dialogue during the Skullface car ride, so he doesn't look like a Synth.

Then Konami can have my money.
 
Damn it, man! Why that title? Just to suffer? I was satisfied with the ending we got, but I would kill for the elusive Chapter 3.

It's easy to be cynical, but I'll try and remain hopeful that this produces an unexpected surprise or two. Adding the content back into the game which has been confirmed to be removed (Episode 51, Battle Gear) would be a nice first step in showing that someone within the company is indeed listening to user feedback. I think plenty of people at Konami care about the series and its fans. Unfortunately, those people aren't the ones who call the shots, by and large. Whatever the case, I hope it's a nice bundle.

I remember that post too. I'm going to say this is legit just because I like to believe stuff like this.

With that said, no way in hell would I buy this because Konami is long dead to me. Not even for Chapter 3 or that supposed Metal Gear Solid 3 remake.
 
Wish Kojima was there to make a director's cut ala Subsistence and Substance. The game is a few tweaks away from being a masterpiece.
