Trump Fumble: Says Putin will not go into Ukraine. Mark it down. Put it down. Never.

It's as if Sarah Palin were running for president.

I am surprised he hasn't blamed the media for their "Gotcha!" questions.

I'm almost at the point where I'm willing to bet friends money that he dodges one or both debates. It isn't going to be the usual Presidential debate where who won is up for interpretation and commentators might get swayed by a few key exchanges. He can not go on national television and have a policy debate with Hillary Clinton. He just can't. Dude gets trips up by journalist asking basic questions. You put him on the big stage and he'll just ramble and go on a tirade. And then we'll see the moderators blamed for those darn "Gotcha" questions. Lol

On Michael Bloomberg:

Trump: And I think, personally that he made a deal with Hillary where he gets a job, cos Michael Bloomberg's wanted to run for president probably for as long as you've known him, AND GUESS WHAT, he never had the guts to do it! Now I see this guy on stage, saying negative things, he knows nothing about me, he's never been to my office, I don't know him well ...

George: You played golf together.

Trump: Maybe once ... And I hit the ball a lot longer. A lot better.

Can't make this up.

I had to watch the interview just to see if this was actually real.

I just don't even know what to say.

And he's a conspiracy nut. If he loses, he's going to be raising hell about it for the rest of his life.

I really hope he goes away and we don't hear from him ever for the rest of his miserable life.

There has never been a political figure or just person in general in my lifetime I've despised more than Trump.

It doesn't matter when his base just wants the nation to revert to segregation. All of us see this,

lets see how fox news is covering it...

Edit:

Nothing.

We keep high fiving eachother over catching Trump out. His base doesn't see/nor care. War has changed.

They all see it as attacks on them.

Pretty much. I was watching an edit of the same interview from another YouTube channel and decided to scroll down and take a look at the comments. It was full of people claiming left-wing media conspiracies, and how Stephanopoulos was hired by Hillary's campaign and so forth.

I know YouTube comments shouldn't really be a barometer for anything, but I'm pretty sure that this is how most Trump supporters justify all of this. "If I close my eyes to it then it doesn't exist."

Trump is probably senile hence why he can't answer easy questions or just rambles a lot. Or he just that dumb

Donald Trump said:
"...You have Obama there. And frankly, that whole part of the word is a mess under Obama..."

He realizes that Obama is one of the better foreign relations Presidents we've had and that the US President isn't some sort of "World King" with jurisdiction over anything outside the US, right?

People that support this nutbag are worse than him

I've despised him long before he decided to try to fuck the country up.

Listen. Putin is not going into Ukraine. Never. But if he does, and it's looking ever more likely that he will, I'll fully support him, because he is strong. He's a strong leader, unlike Obama.

Like, the argument "his base will eat it up" is missing the point.

His base is not enough to win the election! Even when he got a "bump" he's not getting above 40-45% of the vote. His floor and ceiling are very, very close together.

It doesn't matter if the far-far right eats this shit with a spoon. They'll vote for a tree if we pin a GOP button on it! We're talking about the narrow swath of the electorate that is actually winnable for either Hillary or Trump.

You're talking suburban white (mostly women) who are soft republicans. These are people who, you know, don't hate veterans, Gold Star Families and Four Star Generals. These are people who maybe voted for Romney but know there's no way in hell they'll vote for Trump.

No one cares what his base thinks about anything, because they're too far gone. They're irrelevant. These fuck ups are all about the soft middle that is persuadable.

And he's a conspiracy nut. If he loses, he's going to be raising hell about it for the rest of his life.

And if he wins he may just sell the presidency to someone else or turn it down all together, because he never cared to begin with.

This is just another notch on his belt and extra bragging rights.

Obama is already in Ukraine and it is a mess. An absolute disaster. I have friends from Ukraine call me and say "Get him out of here". And we will. Trust me.

Let's be completely real.

This man is a power-hungry megalomaniac.

He's not doing this shit. Not a chance.

There's no way he'll want to participate in an actual debate with Hillary, is there? He'll get slaughtered; the only real winning move for him is to not debate at all.

He will be hailed as going against the corrupt system and not playing by the rules of the establishment, which will in some bizarre way make him even more the people's champion, and just the President we need right now.

No matter what he does, if he even attempts that ridiculous and bizarre stunt of not debating Hillary, it will only further guarantee her victory. He needs a miracle, a miracle in which he absolutely slaughters Hillary in a debate. I can give a prediction there. Not going to fucking happen.

people were saying this a year ago and look where we are now

you guys need to stop being so optimistic about americans

Because his base is what won him the primary! The General electorate and the Primary electorate are not the same. Like, not even remotely. Demographically, they're not the same. Numerically, they're not the same. There are no parallels to be drawn between the two.

correct because using that logic, Romney would have been president.

It's not optimism it's demographics. For example his racist rhetoric works for his base. Will work in the rust belt, but will cost him Florida. If he doesn't get the clean sweep of OH, PA, and FL he losses. Too many Hispanics in Florida for him to win it with what he has said. Has nothing to do with optimism. It's looking at the polls

I've noticed Trump has a speaking pattern.

[name person] [insert side comment about person's inferiority in context unrelated to present topic] [proceed to disjointed skepticism at person's competence in current situation]

It's why his approval goes up no matter what he says. People don't care about what he's talking about. They just love the way he always positions himself as a clear winner and whoever he's talking about as a complete loser.

As for concession speeches, Trump will either go full conspiracy theory or he'll spin it as a great turnout that proves there's an audience of true Americans for a Trump News Network or some shit. I don't think his ego could let him say, in public, that he wasn't the most popular, winningest person.

correct because using that logic, Romney would have been president.

Exactly.

Or, Hillary would be a guarantee to win because she received more Primary votes than Trump did.

There is little (if any) correlation between Primary and GE success.

Take New York for instance. Trump won that primary handily. Why? Because the GOP Primary electorate was 91% White. In the GE, it will be at most 67% white.

The GOP Primary electorate is also majority male. This is not true for the GE. There are a million reasons why you can't compare the two.

The thought of this guy becoming the most powerful man in the world is like end-times level stuff. I've never seen anything like it. He literally has no idea, and I think his entire campaign was borne out of some spiteful ego trip. I can't ever imagine him wanting to help or benefit anyone either.

"She couldn't beat Bernie!"
"She did beat Bernie"
"BARELY"

No regard for reality.

Even his supporters are so fucking stupid they blame someone else when he shows how inept he is. See: YouTube comments

Name another candidate that steamrolled his way through election, Hiliary has another thing coming

So are you going to just ignore all of these Trump controversy topics pointing out what a horrible president he would be? When you post about Trump, all I ever seem to see his how Trump is going to win because of reasons.

You even pointed out she got more votes than Trump. Using that logic, Trump is the one that has something coming.

Exactly, and I'm not being shady or dismissive here. We have to take Trump seriously. But the stuff that plays well in a partisan primary does not play well in the GE. The electorate is completely different. The way you win is completely different. The way you have to campaign is different. People are drawing the wrong conclusions and it's weird.

Hillary has received more primary votes than any candidate in history. Ever. Of either party. Of any gender. Why don't we use that metric? (Because it's as useless as utilizing Trump's primary success to dictate GE success, but whatever).

An ignorant fuckwit has a chance at the White House. Likely the most important election I will witness in a long time, but as a European I can't do anything about it.

A bit depressing :/
