RT always sways people's opinion on films before watching it

I think that's the point of it

It could sway someone from watching a film but outside of that it shouldn't actually be used to form a personal opinion.

I can't say a film is horrible or great without watching it first.

Not the biggest fan of Snyder and wasn't a fan of MoS. BvS has problems but I couldn't really comment on any of them or form an opinion without watching it.

I have enjoyed films that have been thrashed by critics (most of us probably have).

True. I have also disliked a bunch of films that were highly praised by critics.

Really hoping Suicide Squad is great btw. Dug the trailers and Ayer has done good work in the past. Would also be nice to have a good Will Smith movie again; definitely been a while.

Then they can wait until its out on Netflix/Amazon Prime/Redbox.

They don't have to plunk down $15-$25 for a single ticket and potentially have to endure an asshole audience just for a film they'll likely hate if they tend to agree with critical reviews.

I agree (the point of my post). Catch it later if you the reviews sway you enough to not spend money a ticket. However until then you can't have an opinion on the film. I get the feeling some people did not wait to form their own opinion when it came to BvS.

Ironically you're talking to the person who did just that.

We're at 27 pages already.

I think Oscar Wilde said it best when he said - "There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."

Ok for this interested about the embargo

A person for the Miami Herald said that the embargo had been delayed big time

Turns out it was only 12hrs

Then a few other journalists such as Mark Hughs said that he hasn't heard anything about s change

Hughes confirmed with Warner Bros that the embargo is still the same

So I think it's to do with the press screening happening Tuesday, as Shmoes Knowes are seeing it then for example

lol Crisis averted

DC movies in one meme.

Didn't Wilde get arrested for sodomy? I think in that case he would've preferred NOT being talked about.

potentially have to endure an asshole audience.

Does this happen to people a lot?

I find that, as long as I avoid 6pm shows, especially at the multiplex that is in my city's major mall, I barely even see the 12-15 year olds that are the only demographic I have ever had disrupting movies in the past.

So has anyone here actually seen the film yet?

Is it any good?

There's a Reddit thread on r/movies with impressions. To be honest, responses are a little more mixed than I thought they'd be. Also hoping it isn't another situation of BvS where diehard think it's better than everyone else does.

Expecting 65% RT.

We're Canadian. We have more civilized theaters.

I've had bad luck with comic films and asshole audiences in the past. And yes, I've gone early to avoid teenagers/jerks. Sometimes I just get unlucky and 5-10 teens/dudebros show up and ruin it for everyone.

That's interesting. I've never has a problem with an audience before. Especially with comic movies, that's where all the super hardcore fans would eat someone alive if they ruined the experience.

Now I've had some obnoxious people in line at midnight or day 1 showings. But they turn into church mice when the logos come up on screen.

58℅ btw

Premise should have been a homerun. Deadpool and GotG gave DC an alley oop. Critics won't give mediocrity a pass here.
