I know it's cut, just commenting along with everyone else about how it sucks that it was excised. I dunno those shots are the best I've seen personally from the film, but I am expecting an extended cut.

But then again Animator said it was a dumb scene for some reason so perhaps in context it didn't work.

I know where its set and it would have been stupid in the context. Would of been no reason other than pure Joker service and that wasn't needed. What Joker content there was in this movie was more than enough to exercise Leto's take on the character and make me extremely excited to see him in a solo film.

As I understand it, it isn't left out so much as it is replaced. Short of releasing the pre-reshoots cut, it'll end up in deleted scenes.

Sounds fine. I'll trust the director and editors. And Animator.

Curious to get your opinion about word of mouth on the film. Do you think people will be encouraging others to get out and see it?

I chatted with some people after the movie finished just to see what other's felt and most were quite happy with it. Many felt it was better with its character arcs and development unlike BvS. Similar with scene development, there were long shots and characters weren't jumping around too much like in BvS.

I think that to me was BvS' biggest problem, it didn't want to stay in one area for too long for some bizarre reason, which really hurt character and story development. Suicide Squad either learn from that or was already there thanks to Ayer directing.

Again, like I keep saying, don't overhype yourself. It will always lead to disappointment and I've done it enough to become cynical. Just go in expecting a decent comic book movie and you'll come out with a grin. And because Captain Boomerang is the greatest bogan on screen ever.

Awesome. Appreciate the response. Yeah, I expect to be entertained. That's it.

I dunno, if it's where I think it is, it could of been fun to see his reaction to what the characters are facing and then being like, F this, I'm out!

I think that's exactly what it would have been, and just wasn't gonna mesh with the overall tempo that scene was going for.

So it is better than BvS.=O Right?

Sounds like a solid C+/B- to me and I'm ok with that.

Me too. Hopefully people don't turn on it just because it's not mind blowing. I'd call the Thor movies C+/B- flicks as well but apparently they're the worst shit that's ever been put to film or something like that

You're also a weirdo who likes them in the first place.

I liked the first one a lot.

No "I can't wait to show you my toys" bit, flashbacks go by really fast... I feel like there will be an extended version for Blu ray. Joker is fantsstic, I absolutely can't wait to see more of him. He's pretty funny and dude absolutely commands the scenes he's in. Still don't expect much of him as people have warned before. Maybe 10min total screentime. Batman chase wasn't cut down in the Conan bit or maybe had a brief extra second flash by so don't get hyped for Batman interaction there you've essentially seen it all. I thought Cara was great but some of the Enchantress bits were blegh. Harley has her accent so ppl bitchin bout that can be quiet. Will Smith is Will Smith with a pinch of edginess sometimes, he won't surprise you.

Movie was great, a lot of fun, had some really great stuff in it, certain aspects of the villian were pretty lame and bland but I wasn't expecting to really care for it anyway, I came for the Squad. Anyway driving home gtg

don't get the disdain for Thor 1 and it's pretty well received (77 RT) so

I think by association it gets lumped in with its sequel

Thor is really fun. Thor 2, on the other hand...

I mean, if Thor 3 is amazing, the Thor trilogy is more or less on the same level as the IM trilogy

One good film, one shit film, and one great film

can't stack up to its overlord and superior, the glorious Cap trilogy thooo

If it's a C+/B- movie, I'll probably still like it more than Thor because I take issue with the art direction Marvel chose.

I'm pretty certain that quote was there. But yeah share similar consensus.

Funny to see various impressions call out their favorite and least favorite characters. Other than Deadshot and Harley, who are consistently cited as positives, and Rope Guy, who is consistently left out, it's all over the place divisive.

^Rope Guy took my breath away :D

Hmm my friend doesn't remember it either. That scene is in but it ends after Joker grabs him and says whatever he did really quick with his face right up in him. Was a pretty brief scene.
