Isn't it a pretty consistent trend that the anime doesn't switch to the new region until a few months after the new games are out? If that's the case, then that would point toward Ash being able to face the E4 since I doubt the Team Flare interruption will take very long.
Edit: seems like my memory was hazy, or I was thinking of the US anime air dates, but the XY anime came out very close to the games.

Also adding here. Considering how Ash still haven't visited Killoude City, i can still see many times to further story in Kalos.^_^
Actually, i would love to watch Alola arc with Serena have confessed to Ash here and now we are watching the story progress as they are couple lol. It will be huge shift in story but it sure is much more interesting vs gym only.^_^

Yeah, I think I was thinking of the US anime air dates. Well then, that doesn;t leave a whole lot of time for Ash to challenge the E4, especially with team flare intervening. If he does get there, I'm going to assume he losses on the first or second one.

If you're looking for the English dub, it gets uploaded to Netflix. Unfortunately they put it up by season, so even compared to the English premiers it's a bit behind.
If you're looking at subs, I can't help you, since I don't follow those.

The second they give the partners a goal to achieve means the writers have an out. She can go "I'll become queen and then confess to ash" and then you never see her again because nobody grows up lmao
Serena hates being burden with a single responsibility though. And who said she can't go to Alola to get more experience and becoming the Queen over there?^_^

I wasn't really down with the anime once they changed VA's after dropping 4Kids but after hearing so many good things about this season/region and watching this episode I might start watching.

That was a really good semi-filler episode. It gave proof to Serena's growth as a trainer. Jimmy said it himself. Too bad we never got a proper battle between him and Ash. Would've been awesome if he would be at the Pokemon league cheering Ash on.
This season had been great for sure. It had all bits of thingy.^_^
U get some shipping. Ash being more competent, clemont and her sister is entertaining, great music and absolutely great animation.^_^
This is the one of the best season for Pokemon fans.^_^

The episode with Serena imitating Ash was really fun. Wasn't expecting the moshing Pikachu, that was brilliant.
I always prefer how the non-Ash Pikachus are voiced. And having Dig as a move was too cool.

Never really understood people wanting Misty and Brock back other then for nostalgic reasons. I don't know what show you guys watched, but the show that I watched, neither of them did anything of value. It took Brock 4 regions to actually get a proper goal. What was Misty's goal? I dunno.
At least May, Dawn and Serena did things. They had actual goals and character development. Misty was an absolute waste of space, and she should never come to the show as a main character. I will give Misty some credit though. At least she isn't Iris.
I wouldn't mind if Ash began traveling with two female companions this time around. It would suck if they went back to: Ash + new guy + new girl. Need to mix it up, and instead do Ash + new girl + Serena. Could make for an interesting dynamic.

These two were amazing. I loved it when Spiky pikachu got dizzy after headbanging for too long. The dub for this episode was pretty great too.
Such a giffable episode. Gonna discuss a few earlier episodes first before diving into this one.
And speaking of waifus this season has some amazing character designs. Some of the background characters during the showcases could be leads in most anime. Shaunas dub VA is the best.
