Unless they call them Ultimate Cut, they could be just alternative cuts, like the X-men ones.God I hope not... I don't want all my conversations about WB's DC movies to have to be prefaced with "Did you watch the Ultimate Cut which was sorta okay or the theatrical one which was an incoherent mess?"

I was worried about this and coming out of the movie I do think there is an ultimate cut to be had that can expand a lot more on some of these quick ass abrupt scenes, BUT the base movie is definitely a lot more enjoyable than BvS and is definitely still good in it's own right. Still, I wish I wasn't hoping for an UC while I was watching the movie itself.
Too true.Breaking free of that Hollywood conditioning is tough

How was the Joker in this movie? How was his relationship with Harley? Was there at least good chemistry?
This might be the most unexpected thing in this threadBack to a few points I'm not gonna quote
Tbh felt like Flagg, Boomerang and Diablo were my standouts
So Leto isn't blowing people away with his performance?
But he was pulling Joker pranks on his costars!

And now Leto just told me he also sent everyone...used condoms and anal beads!
"I did a lot of things to create a dynamic to create an element of surprise, a spontaneity and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there," the Oscar winner told me while promoting the movie at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. "The Joker is somebody who doesn't really respect things like personal space or boundaries."
m e t h o d a c t i n gAdewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Killer Croc, says he received "sticky Playboy magazines" from Leto, but he also revealed what happened when the dead pig arrived.
"That was a good gift because it had the effect of unifying us as a group because then it became us against him," Akinnuoye-Agbake said. "We sent the messenger back with the dead pig and our own personalized message. It got the ball rolling."
I loved Joker. Again, he's in it very briefly in real brief snippets here and there. Maybe 10min screentime all totaled out, so not a whole lot of room for character building there especially with how fast things go. He spits out some completely unexpected funny lines IMO but he also makes his prescense felt and I love how he acts before he gets ready to lay it down on his victims. He's really a tease in this film, but I can't wait to see where they go with the various emotions he displays throughout here with how he can be crazy and fun to being this menacing force.
I think Harley and him had great chemistry, it definitely felt like they were a couple. One brief scene was really interesting from Harley's point of view but I don't want to spoil it, might trip some people out seeing it lol. I mean, people who want Joker and Harley's relationship to be exactly like BTAS canon or what not will be disappointed, this is definitely a different take on their relationship you guys probably are aware of by now.

Film Dude gives it a 2.5/5
"The government form a secret task force of the worst supervillains they have imprisoned to combat any future threats from metahumans of the world.
"Suicide Squad" features a killer soundtrack and one of the most promising of ensemble casts, only for its execution to fail. It simply doesn't handle the large assortment of characters well, with only a few obvious highlights stealing the show from the much less-interesting other members, who falter in their limited screentime, secondary backstories and shoe-horned contributions to saving the world. It's disappointing such striking visuals are wasted on a colourless plot and bland action. Death by boredom."

As long as he isn't eating buckets of melted ice cream so he can star in a truly awful movie alongside Lindsay Lohan, he's not even close to mad on the Leto scale.Suicide Squad was the warm up. Leto is slowly going mad in the years til Affleck's Batman.
I don't think so.=ONotable?
:')Yay Paul!

All WB had to do was adding a few jokes all along.4/5 spoiler free review here: http://sowizardpodcast.com/2016/08/movie-review-suicide-squad/
Sounds like Guardians of the Galaxy.I mean... truthfully the action scenes are meh and few and far between. Even the shot composition of the third act battle was a little mind boggling. It was literally them just standing around in a small group. Don't go into this moving expecting anything on the level of Civil War. This movie shines in other ways (but don't count a villain or their lack of motive as one)
Looking at this Summer, that isn't saying much tbh
No it isn't, did you expect The Godfather or something? 8/10 is the absolute ceilling, like, over the top ceilling. It's a little disconcerting that nobody has been OVERTLY positive about it on here. I mean, if early screeners are thinking of the movie at best like 8/10, it's somewhat worrisome, lol.

If that was the case Thor 2, Iron Man2, 3amd Ultron would be like 20% RT. All the movie needs is a likeable cast.So generic villain, CGI filled 3rd act and editing-pacing issues in the first half.None of these are deal breaker for me but critics love to point these stuff.
Sounds like this is getting a %50 RT score.

Those were all before ''super-hero fatigue'' shitstorm started. Audience wants more super heroes and critics are sceptical about how long will the formula stand. If that was the case Thor 2, Iron Man2, 3amd Ultron would be like 20% RT. All the movie needs is a likeable cast.

if there's one thing I'm worried about is if this movie gets sub-70 or sub-60 you'll see a bunch of fuckers going on about how critics hate DC and all that nonsense

I enjoyed BvS but it's because i can't help getting excited about seeing iconic characters on screen,i'm nothing but a huge fanboy so i can overlook the flaws at some point. And other times those flaws are just too obvious but these stuff don't turn the movie into a bad one for me as long as the actual product has enough redeeming qualities. For me in BvS it was Affleck. But i also write in a local movie/comic site and when i have to put a review for a comic book movie i try not to be a film critic or a fanboy. I try express my opinions as an average movie-goer so i point out the flaws even though some of them might not be huge problems for me. And let's face it BvS is really not a good product for an average movie goer. And critics don't write their reviews for fanboys, they do it to inform average movie-goers.if there's one thing I'm worried about is if this movie gets sub-70 or sub-60 you'll see a bunch of fuckers going on about how critics hate DC and all that nonsense
