CNBC and NBC reporters have sources saying Trump campaign staff in disarray

Pretty sure we should get an orangutan to play Trump. I mean come on. You can't ignore they have similar qualities.

I don't see any reason we couldn't just let Trump play Trump.

He's too blindly narcissistic to pass up the chance, even if the entire point of the movie is to make him look like an ass. Not that he'd be able to recognize the signs and piece the facts together with his five second attention span, anyway.

At time when US is newly concerned about terrorist attacks, we can't afford such unprincipled & out-of-touch leadership on world stage

...go on

Look at the tweet immediately before it.

Obama-Clinton foreign policy not only means cutting dangerous deal w/ # 1 state sponsor of terrorism it also means paying them secret ransom

Fair enough. In the back of my mind, I'm thinking, "no one has ever dropped out in history", but to your point, why would that stop him? He loves being unprecedented.

I still think it's more likely he flies this flaming turd right into November, but I concede anything is possible.
Yeah, don't get me wrong, the fact that no one has ever dropped out before is certainly reason for pause. But his trajectory is so erratic, it's hard not wonder. There's so much that's unprecedented about this election already, dropping out of the GE might almost seem mundane by the time it (possibly) happens.

His full statement is about the (not at all secret) money sent to Iran:

I don't know why people are freaking out over a Trump presidency. If by some miracle he manages to win the election and become President, he will get impeached within the first 180 days.

I don't see a Trump Presidency seeing the end of 2017. Both Paul Ryan and Mitch Connell will gavel with glee the impeachment proceedings.
Have you seen what he's accomplished in just one week here without any power at all?

It literally takes seconds to launch a nuclear weapon.

Oh boy, every single Republican that was being attacked by Trump or embarrassed by him, is now quickly trying to pivot the conversation in the media towards the faux-Iran controversy.

Obama will probably squash this nonsense today, or Kerry.

Where?

It did say Pence would endorse Ryan.

It was up for a good ten seconds, and then at the start of Wolf, Dana Bash started off by talking about sources saying that the GOP is looking into what happens if he drops out. The way it was worded was like they are sort of expecting it, but that there's also no current signs that it will happen.

Hmmm. Well I guess pray. If you believe in that sort of thing, now is the time.

Then there's also this:

http://nypost.com/2016/08/03/trump-getting-nuttier-and-nuttier-campaign-insiders-say/

Donald Trump is getting “nuttier and nuttier,” according to those within the tycoon’s presidential campaign, who say they are increasingly frustrated by his outrageous comments and behavior.
...
“I did not think he’d be great in a general election, and thought there’d be episodes of paranoia/irrationality, but this is surprising for me,” one Trump operative told The Post.

I was reading an article earlier that talked about what would need to happen if Trump did drop out. It was saying that he would need to drop out by early September to give the party time to find a replacement and to be able to get them on the ballet in enough states to have a chance to win.

My question is, IF Trump drops out, do you think he would just give no fucks and do so like in October to really fuck them over? Like if he's gonna go all the way with the fuckery, might as well go all the way, right.

I agree that Trump's ego would make it seem that he would never drop out of the race, on pride alone. However, this election has shown a side of Trump I was unaware of, the always a victim, thin skinned side. He has played the victim card every chance he gets and tries to force out media who hold him accountable to create his own little safe space and echo chamber. After the new polls came out, he did some advanced victim card playing and claimed the only way he would lose is through a rigged election. This is a weakness that I could see opening up to the possibility of him dropping out. He will blame the media, he will blame the GOP, he will blame everyone but himself and call himself the victim of unfair attacks. He will claim US politics are too toxic and corrupt for someone as smart and successful as himself. He will retreat with his idiot followers and help stir up some new fringe tea-party like group of people for the mid terms and take any appearance he can on TV to shit on everyone and push his inevitable book about how corrupt US politics and media are. His cowardice may be the only thing that trumps his narcissism.

I'm under the impression that if he is to drop out, he will wait until the last possible moment, and not care where it leaves the GOP. He will continue to want coverage, because that's what this has been about in the first place, and dropping out in August takes away two whole other months of his face on TV screens.

So I think your mentioning of October could be right, as he can call it rigged to high heavens and jump ship, leaving everything in complete turmoil.

Then TNN (Trump News Network) with Roger Ailes launches, with the Washington building he just built as the headquarters.

Add in that he hates to lose, or fears losing, and it doesn't seem so far fetched that he could bail. In his mind it would be a power move for all the reasons you mentioned, but also because he would feel like he was sticking it to a party that never supported him.

This is also something I believe could happen. It is the trump way of getting out after all.
