Yep, cancelling after this month. Was hopeful there'd be something I wanted in the bundle after I got charged, but nope. Jackbox would be great in a party situation, but the rest of the stuff I never even heard of (besides blops which I already gave away).

Figures, the Mad Max one was the only one I feel was a good value. And I wasn't subscribed then. Fuck.
 
On one hand, this month was kind of garbage for me. Starward Rogue is a really great game though, highly recommended.

On the other hand, next month has SOMA!
 
I saw that Soma's in the new one and was like yay soma, let's see how the last one was...then I saw the list and now I'm not sure if want to go for it.

is this Van Helsing a combination of the previous 3 games or just the first one re-mastered? or something else entirely?
 
Oooh, now this bundle puts me in an awkward quandary. I love the Jackbox packs, so do I buy 3 when it comes out later this year, or hold off on the expectation that it'll appear in a future bundle?
 
Dunno if it's new, but it seems that there's also a flat 10% discount from the Humble Store for subscribers? I don't remember seeing that before.

Yeah, that's been there for a few months now. It really helps.

I hardly buy on Steam any more, because the Humble Store normally works out cheaper after that 10% discount.
 
Stupid question time:

This is my first Humble Monthly and I just want the single SOMA month, so I dropped $12.

I know there's a "Cancel my plan" link on my personal Settings page.

Soooo...If I nab my SOMA key now and then immediately "Cancel my plan", I still get all the other bonus SOMA month titles at the end of this month, right?

I'm sure that's how it works, but I just wanted to be double-sure before unsubscribing.

Yea you are in for next month (September) so you still spent 12$. Canceling just means they won't renew at the end of next month for the month after (October) before the new bundle drops.

$12 would be the cheapest soma has ever been, if that is an alright price to you then ignore the fact it is a bundle. buy the bundle for soma, cancel, and in a month maybe you will get lucky with something else you want appearing.
 
Interesting to see RAM: Random Access Murder in the pack, it won best game at Nordic Game Jam this year, voted for it myself :p
 
I think this bundle is actually pretty great. It's hard to imagine a game I'm less interested in than the blops multiplayer, but I sold that a few days after it was announced and I can see myself enjoying everything other game being offered. I already had Van Helsing 1 and 2 but I guess getting 3 is worthwhile.

I think a big part of making these bundles worthwhile is I've basically stopped buying all non-AAA game releases because I figure they're eventually going to wind up in a humble bundle of some kind. So I almost never have the games.
 
Any hope of the humble exclusives games getting submitted to Greenlight, so we can add them to Steam library? I won't play any of them otherwise. (I'm shallow)

Is Jackbox 2 fun with 2 players? Or does it need larger groups?

it is better with more, that being said most of the games can be played with more people via a stream.

nah, that is how it works here too. it makes sense as it gives everyone their own screen to work with for the drawing games, and most people have a phone or tablet they can use.
 
Already had jackbox and nothing else interests me on the list. Bullet dodged by skipping last month.

Jackbox plus freebies is a nice deal for the subscribers, though. Go-to party games, right there.
 
Easily the worst month so far. Not a single game that interests me.

I'm the complete opposite of you. BLOPS multiplayer was the only one that interested me and the reason I bought it. Expected I'd like at least a few of the games released, but I was wrong. Don't see how or why anyone would play Van Helsing when there's so many games that nail action RPG so much better.
 
this year started out so hot. first 3 months included: The Talos Principal, Spelunky, Alien Isolation, Ark, Wasteland 2, Shantae, Broken Age, Grim Fandango, Volume, Mushroom 11, Dropsy + more. damn.
