With CoroCoro being out on the 12th this month it's feasible that it could leak tonight, no? We've had leaks on the 11th before when it's been a 15th release date.

Just because one leak was correct, it doesn't necessarily mean that they all are.
This could be right, don't get me wrong, but it's not very likely, and there absolutely no evidence.
Also I find the idea of there being four separate forms of each of the starter's evolutions- amongst the most heavily marketed Pokémon of the generation, no less- far less feasible than new forms for old Pokémon.

I know Joe can't comment, but here's my guess:
One of Joe's connections led to him finding out about one of the Starter Evos. However, it's one of the Alternate Typing ones mentioned in the Delta Form leak; maybe Rowlet wasn't dark or Popplio wasn't fighting like expected. It would look fake to someone who had his info, but not info on alternate typings. Meanwhile, Joe knows about another Pokèmon not mentioned in this fake leak, which would immediately invalidate it.
Plus, like, it's a text-only 4Chan leak. It's happened before, but that doesn't change the fact that anyone can make one, so hundreds of people just do it.
I just peeked at the list on the off-chance it's legit, but I love some of these puns. Robinroot takes the cake, of course.

I really hope that CoroCoro leaks tonight just to prove this Dex fake. It's annoying how much it's spreading and how many people are taking it seriously. It doesn't help that PokeJungle posted it either.

Wait, this has been posted here already? I guess that happens when one does not read the thread carefully.
If it was real I assume Hirobyte and his attention seeking self would have straight up leaked it himself or said it on Twitter. I've heard he no longer has ties to Nintendo and I remember him being wrong on a couple details regarding ORAS, so I wouldn't take what he says as real confirmation.

Unless the list is from that leaker, I don't see why something weird like that being confirmed has relevance to this leak....?

No Mythical Pokemon in the leak is odd.
It's a leak from an inside source I assume, of course taking into account if it's legit, and when we got this during Generation V that PokeDex leak had the Mythical Pokemon (Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect) included with it.
Generation VI did not, because we never got a leak like this---the "leaks" only came when non-insiders got early copies of the game and played through it themselves, and thus did not have access to the Mythical Pokemon.
But either way the way the leak is it'll get disproven or proven August 12th during the next site update, there's no room left for error, when we get localized names. All the Pokemon mentioned in the recent Chinese leak and the other leak, like the snowman, the mushroom, the rugby gorilla, and the breeding cat, are all accounted for though---I bet we'll see one that matches in CoroCoro a few days from now, and people might take this as accurate, but then we'll see their localized names the next site update proving it wrong or right.

Considering how Gen VI was datamined, I wouldn't be surprised if they were DLC eventually to avoid spoilers and leaks. You have to go to a GameStop or connect to WiFi to get event Pokemon already anyways

Like I said the Generation VI Dex was never "leaked", people who got the game early had to put it together so it took a few days.
This on the other hand is clearly a list so it'd be from someone with inside knowledge if real.

I think he leaked (or was related to a person that leaked) a lot of Gen V Pokemon, including descriptions and rough sketches of them. Though I think he's lost his source since then so this probably doesn't mean much.
Holy shit, that sounds amazing. That should really put some worries of the expected typings of some starters to rest. If true of course.

I do remember seeing some japanese names here in there that were leaked, not a full dex of course
it's how people knew of Gekkouga (people thinking of butterfly back then) among other things

This is the biggest reason why I'm not dismissing the leak completely - don't you usually want to fake leak stuff that isn't going to be proven wrong for sure like 5 days later?

I definitely think that the 4 trial captains announced so far are all the trial captains of Akala island. We know Mallow and Kiawe are on that island, and all 4 of them have a pendant all with the same segment filled in, probably meaning they all represent the same island.
If so, that means potentially 16 trial captains and 4 Kahuna's.
And I figure that they must be able to battle since they have a signature type like gym leaders

1 captain + totem pokemon + kahuna per island; that's how I understood it. Though a captain per type would be cool.
Yeah that's kinda why I'm inclined to keep it in mind now simply because we'll know info really soon and if not one thing lines up with this "leak" then it's fake.
