I stopped watching the stream, but it's looking at the dogfight that just popped off almost made me squeal in excitement. Just curious, are there bounties in this game?

20 bucks says that black diamond thing in the logo with the red stuff in it is the center of the universe.

It's supposed to be the Atlas computer where you record your discoveries. At least that is what Sean Murray said in an old video interview.

Watching the interviews has convinced me to buy it, it was a little steep for me at $60. He talks a lot, but it's usually interesting and intelligent, so I kinda trust their output.

I also think it's fascinating, how this game/idea ties into the simulation hypothesis, the philosophical implications of formulas/laws of physics creating the world around us with computation. It even echoes the measurement problem in quantum mechanics, by not really storing the world on disk, only generating reality as it is experienced by a player.

So because none of the planetary data is stored locally or in the cloud and is instead simply generated when you're there, what happens over time if you return to a planet you visited before? Is there most likely some type of algorithm that causes time to pass and things to change or do you think it would be exactly as it was even if you return months later?

I haven't been keeping up with recent news beyond the initial reveal, which had me super hyped, but are there bounties or side missions that you can collect from trading posts or space stations?

"No Man's sky will never be finished"

Glad the dev thinks about it the same way I do! Software doesn't 'finish' anymore. Or it shouldn't.

Playing the game right now. All I had to do was change the time on my clock and it unlocked!

Alright so I fell prey to the hype and ended up ordering off of PSN. When this is downloading is it including that supposed day 1 patch or not?

To those who have the game, how are the controls?

How sensitive is the aiming? Can you change it? Is it harder to aim more precisely like some FPSes on playstation, or is it easier like in Destiny?
