Someone in the reddit AMA asked if there were still big creatures in the game liken the giant snake we saw in one of the trailers way back when.

Oh man, I hate questions like this, because like wouldn't you just rather discover for yourself? Huge creatures are out there, and I haven't seen them on streams yet. They are rare.

You know, some/most players are going to name planets stupid things like "Full Diaper", "Dripping Anus", or "Pungent Stench", etc.

It makes me feel a bit nerdy, but also very proud and nostalgic to want to give the planets names that I would love a Science-Fiction movie or game to have a planet named as.

Things like "Aqua Prime IV", "Phaedra Vermillion", or "Storm Echo VII", things like that. Does that make it more nerdy to take the time to want to name a planet something cool, or should I just name one "Smelly, Painful Fart" LOL!?
 
I couldn't find a reason to pre-order so i will wait until the EU launch. I watched a couple of streams tonight and i really liked what i saw. Day one for me

I wish there was a bundle with both versions. If buy it.
 
Nice to also hear confirmed from Sean's stream that the economic system is based on supply and demand on a per-system level. So if a system has tons of Heredium, it won't be very valuable if you try to sell it there. But no idea still if your actions (e.g. selling a ton of Heredium in a star system) will change the price, or even if the prices fluctuate at all.
 
Well, just made my first digital preorder since Bloodborne.

Trying to contain my hype but at the very least I will have some relaxing exploration in my future.

Yeah, I wonder if the economy is determined by the players themselves? That'd be pretty neat. IE if a system has a person who sells tons of Gold, then if anyone else wanders into that system, then gold won't be worth alot
 
Figured it out; it's very easy to disable custom controls. And since I'll be playing NMS for a while, I'd rather have sprint on R3 like all other games.
 
I went digital and it'll be ready to play at midnight. I'm excited. To be honest, I watched a few streams from early copies last week but held back on reading into it too much.

This will be cool to have our own documented trade routes and stuff.

Get Gold deposits from System A, fly over to System B and sell it, pick up stuff at System B, go to System C and sell it, Fly back to System A and repeat until satisfied.

EDIT: And I finally got a shipping confirmation from Amazon.

I just buckled. I suppose I'll be double dipping! I'd feel a lot better if we'd got some confirmation about PSVR support, at least then I know I'd have a reason to come back to the PS4 version.
 
Couldn't wait for Friday for the PC release which I bought over the weekend... Double dipped and just bought the PS4 version. No Ragerts!
 
I preloaded the digital version last night, and it seems to be downloaded. Would the patch have already installed? I turned on my PS4, and didn't see any way to initiate a patch download.

My total file size for the game is 5GB.

Press options on the client, then check for update.

Yeah, it's awesome. Been following it closely since the reveal. Much like NMS, it has procedural planets and systems, and you can travel between moons and planets

Kudos to all of you who are waiting out for physical releases. I can never go back to physical releases for games I want to play on Day 1. There is a descent into madness waiting for FedEx guy. Digital or bust.
