I feel like one of the few people who saw some of the value in the original vision for the Xbox One. I truly think that if they were able to own it and incorporate feedback, things would have been fine. Their inability to control leaks and deviate from planned PR speak was what killed that vision.

That's kind of my point. People separate console from handheld. Even npd separates and excludes cell phone. Why would they exclude a machine, phones, that generates a lot of money?
Again, it depends on where your loyalties are on how you view this type of info. I'm in the camp of not caring who "wins". I want all systems to succeed.
Corporate loyalty to one group, whether it's Nintendo, Sony, or ms I believe is just slimey. They are not your friends. No need to defend your favorite.

Their exclusives are just as mediocre as what the competition has to offer. I love this new generation where games like Sunset are called masterpieces on GAF yet Infamous is hot garbage. Both have mostly mediocre first party lineups.

You could get the system for $100 cheaper than PS4 and it came with five games with heavy trade in deals. I find it hilarious that they still only did shy of 10k better with all those deals. It should be a wider gap in August but I doubt Sony cares that they win two months. Sony likely will win September thru December with competitive pricing and more exclusives + dominating the media with new hardware.
