By the time XV has come out, that thread will be three years old
Not entirely alone, but they move from being one of the first games to the season to one of the last, and after all the heavy hitters are already in full on post launch advertising/word of mouth stage.

I don't know. It seens they were right about the SW date and stuff. And they were very specific saying that the new promotional material will be put at the stores on August 14, so why throw away their credibility in 2 days?
This only sucks a lot for me cause I'm pretty much gonna have to wait till January to play it. Pretty much at the end of Nov I'm gonna go on a month trip. At the end of September was perfect cause I would've been able to to play it without any personal hassles (plus it was right next to my birthday).
But I would definitely prefer it to be in a better state. Although seems very weird for them to do this this late. They seemed extremely confident that they would reach Sep 30. I wonder if some issue popped up just recently.

It had already been mandatory for late September games so there would've been a basic Neo patch, anyway.

This wouldn't bother me too much if only because I wouldn't have to keep trying to convince myself I actually have the time and motivation to finish Persona 5 before Final Fantasy XV releases, lol.
I did want to try the game sooner rather than later as I'm not really too confident I'm gonna like it that much and the overall project continues to come across as a little messy to me, but if they did have to delay it for fixes I guess it would to work on stuff like that.

Not suprised but damn if true that sucks. Though at least the end of November isn't that busy for games (the beginning of December is though).
Yeah I am stunned if this delay happened. This would cripple them and whatever good will they had left.

Fair enough, was just curious about your opinion. I'm of the opinion the game was announced too early (Nomura even said as much), but at the same time I get that they were trying to buy back goodwill from the shitshow they ran last generation and was probably the best card they could play short of FFVII Remake (Which they did, anyway)
At least the KH3 team had the good sense to a) switch to a far less troublesome engine early on and b) only show decent looking footage of the game as opposed to XV, where you kinda have to wonder who's in charge of choosing the screenshots they use for PR.

That's a reference to Versus XIII I think. Nojima isn't working on XVs scenario anymore.
