BTW if it is true, it's good news for everyone (except maybe Square's business people). There are SO MANY games in September already, including some massive JRPGs, and there have been all sorts of rumors about FFXV being in rough shape. By the end of the year nobody will care whether it came out in September or November - they'll care whether it manages to keep a decent framerate and camera.
Duck-Sama warned us earlier today

All in the first two weeks. Plenty of buffer there. There's 3 of the biggest games of the year in November as well tho

As appropriate as ever, I see.
lol, this is probably what Duckroll was talking about with "saving up for gamescom announcements"
Whyy would they start putting these up , guess it's still store level but still...

Marketing materials like that standee are printed well in advance.

Frankly, if the delay is because of a gameplay or structure related reason, then I'd rather they delay it half a year than just 2 months.

What's the general consensus on this? Just a bunch of trolls posting fakes?
Is one week after Pokemon that much of a buffer?
Meh I wasn't even counting pokemon it's a completely different beast in that situation and on a handheldIs one week after Pokemon that much of a buffer?

Two months of extra time for polish and optimization can make a huge difference, actually.Like people here have said I don't know how much two months would change,
They might as well give it The Witcher 3 treatment and patch it up over the months instead of disappointing a lot of us.
Anyone else notice the end of the new world of wonder video they posted today did NOT have the release date at the end? Just had the FFXV logo................Nov 29 confirmed
Is this game ever coming out? geez
I remember when people thought there wouldn't be a Horizon: Zero Dawn delay because Uncharted 4 came with an ad featuring 2016 release date.

Only real source is original

People acting like a delay is all doom and gloom when other big AAA games today also get delayed. Uncharted 4 and Mass Effect must be running on some shitty ass engines if their delays were necessary right?
I'm fine with the delay. I wouldn't even mind an early 2017 release like Mass Effect, though they probably wouldn't want to go up against Mass Effect.

Cancelled my preorder after seeing that DLC video smh. Fuck outta here. "Buy DLC to get stronger weapons to make fights easier, but DLC to play as the other party members". I'm good.

Dragon Quest VII and Trails of Cold Steel II, both of which should be very much of interest to anyone who likes JRPGs. Plus Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse if you want more of a dungeon-crawler.I really do not like comments like this. Which massive JRPG's? Persona 5? Wait a minute that comes out next year, in English. There are no other games I was interested in except this.
Anyway, I have a feeling it's been delayed. Not happy at all.
Please, don't delay KH II.8, Square.
NOMURA, PLS!
I don't wanna go no more..I'll wait to watch iy closer to releaseYou can take Jason's word to the bank going off by my time here on Gaf. I guess I'll expect the confirmation of the delay sometime next week.. Smh I'll be at Times Square for the premiere of Kingsgliave.
Because that's not a trailer... That's just footage from the game. It doesn't have the usual credits at the end either.

To be clear, I'm not confirming the delay. I've only heard confirmation from a secondhand source and that's not enough for me to say definitively that it's true, which is why it's not on Kotaku yet. I just believe it's true and I also think it'd be very good news for anyone who wants this to be a great game. You can take Jason's word to the bank going off by my time here on Gaf.
