Can't wait to see what kind of white supremacists are out doing Trump sponsored voter intimidation out here in Florida this November.
 
If there's no in-depth vetting process, I wonder how many Clinton supporters would sign up to try and find some inside dirt? Or at least dilute the proportion of martial-law wannabes on sites.

I almost want to fill out the form to find out what the more information is.
 
This is going to bring the worst people to the polling places harassing voters, requiring police presence which would even further intimidate voters. Hopefully enough people don't let them get to them that they can keep Trump from winning PA.
 
I feel like having a volunteer group of candidate-specific "observers" at polling places has to be illegal in some way.


Also, why can't we vote online with a database that allows you to look up your vote and show that it was counted and who it was counted for? Having to actually go somewhere to vote feels archaic at this point, and such a system would pretty much end this farce that "your vote doesn't count" or "elections are just there to make you think you have a choice" BS that a good chunk of the population believes in.

Over 500000 people would have to be discouraged to not vote for hilary by these election observers for Hilary to lose PA.This is not likely at this point.
 
This is such a horrible idea on Trump's part. Won't he be criminally liable if his official observes start turning brown people away from the polls, until they can "figure out what going on"?

Yeah, if Hillary loses PA by a margin that would be affected by this stunt, she's probably already lost the election. That said, it doesn't really make this "intimidate people because you're convinced they're cheating" strategy ok.

I don't expect this strategy to work anyway. It may actually hurt trump if anyone actually tried to intimidate voters close to the voting area.I still find it scary how people are trying to do something like this in this election.
 
I'm really, at this point, wondering how far Trump will be able to go before the law is triggered and SOMEBODY steps in.

He's already asked a foreign power to hack his opponent...which happened.

He's already suggested to his supporters to take up arms against his opponent.

Now he's actively encouraging intimidation at polling places.

Dead serious at this point...WHERE is the line?

I don't think it's a bright idea on any level. I'm not concerned about it flipping a state, though, I'm concerned about redneck fuckbois harassing anyone they deem foreign looking. I'd have to imagine a lot of these people think that anyone who shows up to a polling place wearing a hijab or something can't possibly be an actual American citizen.

If a person decides to "observe" a polling place, they're going to want to feel like they're stopping crooked Hillary from rigging the election. They're not going to want to stand around peacefully for eight hours. They'll take it upon themselves to verbally or physically accost someone eventually.

Do they? I'm not finding any information about a precedent for party solicited election observers in the US, and the dems certainly aren't asking anyone to become one online. Maybe this is a common thing but candidates aren't usually so public about it, I don't know. I'd like to get more information about this.

I expect some trump supporters to do awful things to voters especially muslims and other minorities on November 8th.

There's no low. And he knows that. He keeps doing this stuff and getting away with it.
