Sort of obvious to anyone with three neurons to cross that Trump got the Canadian Liberals reelected from a completely losing position. Which makes you wonder if he was picking the weakest sparring partner.

At least the NDP lost so bad and Jagmeet lost his own seat that they lost official party status and he stepped down after doing that much damage. Hope that means less Khalistani extremist influence since that was holding up the government last time, this time it is not.

Hopefully Carney is more of a practical realist than the ideologue Trudeau that tried to lecture far stronger powers, I'm a proud Canadian but we have to have context of our position in the world and not play the Boy Scout and piss off everyone.

In before Lock.

20 points to the OP.

I think the conservatives really fumbled by not tying Carney to Trudeau, and what a foolish electorate to keep reelecting people that have wrecked the country for years.

I'll trust a guy with legit finance background and experience over a 20 year career politician. Especially in today's economic climate.

I'm interested to see how Carney's home building platform will go. The creation of a government builder has serious Wartime Housing vibes which could drastically lay the seeds for better supply.

Pierre losing his own seat is just... insane.

The Conservative party actually did pretty well. The NDP died for this Liberal minority.

Not the way I wanted it to go, but at least Mark is far more competent than Justin. I'm mixed on it being a minority government. On one it it keeps him accountable, but is also propped up by a separatist party and a far left party. 😞
