By far the largest animal I've encountered, the pic doesn't really do it justice

Found some weird rock structures on one of my first planets, not sure if this sort of thing is common or not. Looks cool though.

I'm on the most absurdly beautiful planet. I'll stick to the rules here but I'm going to cross post in the OT with a few more shots as well.

How do some of you manage to hide the HUD? Through a button press? Or do you edit the text file for config directly?

Downsampling +
ReShade LumaSharpen +
TheOctagon's cheatengine table to remove chromatic aberration.

I've never been able to get ReShade to work properly for me, but I'll have to give that another shot once I get this game to run smoothly. I'm also gonna have to use that cheatengine table because without the CA, this game looks jaw dropping!

This is what it looks like at 4k with reshade applied. Looks sharp when downsampled.

Found an oversized Pillar of Heridian

I do enjoy finding oversized mountains to climb and take photos from.

Sorry for the HUD and probably poor graphics ;P

This planet had quite a few lakes/craters in vaguely circular/elliptical shapes

Just liked the color of the water. One day I'll redeem that ship. Think I've gotten the required recipes for all the warp drive stuff.

I love these Planet horizon shots of looking at another planet.

Some of these would be great wallpaper material especially if we could friggin' remove the UI stuff.

Sean Murray if you are reading this thread, PLEASE include a UI disable function for photo aficionados! Or a Photomode!

Question for those who are downsampling:

Using DSR, I'm perfectly able to see 4k resolutions in the game options. The problem is that I have to run the game in borderless-window mode to avoid horrible framerates. When running in borderless-window mode, the downsampling doesn't appear to do anything at all.

I can change to proper fullscreen mode, but the framerate is horrendous.

Are you downsampling folks just accepting terrible frames, or do you not have the same problems, or is there some sort of solution?

It depends on your specs. I'm getting 60-100 fps with a GTX 1080 and max settings at 4K. You're probably going to drop below 60 fps without a 1080 at that high of a resolution.

Is it? It's one of the first thing you see in the Atlas path after finishing the tutorial. I'll remove it just in case.

I'm pretty sure that what you find inside atlas upload points is not the same for everyone. I've been to like 6 of them and have not seen that.

This is what was in my last Atlas Upload:

I'm on a 980ti, so I'm pretty close. I'm not worried about 30fps at 4k.

The game jumps from 75fps to 5fps though, which doesn't really work.

I guess my question is really more along the lines of - Do you guys have to run the game in fullscreen mode to activate supersampling? It definitely doesn't work for me when running borderless window mode.

EDIT: Figured it out. Fullscreen is required for supersampling. Oddly enough, I get a completely locked 30fps when doing so. It wasn't like that at launch, so I guess the patch worked for me.

And now, my first black hole.
