Do 28 slot ships not exist? I have a 27 slot and have been finding crashed ships to upgrade to 28 but all of them I have found are 26. Getting a bit annoyed.

Ha! Wanted to buy a new ship yesterday and was waiting for one with 26.... Just 19 or 31.
Seems to be a fixed amount of ships per station.

I farmed for Atlas Pass v2/3 for likely six hours yesterday. Nothing. However, I can make Lemium, which worked out great, since the moon I was on had Titanium and Plutonium, which are required to make it. They sell for 35k, and I found someone who wanted to pay +100%. Got enough money for a lot of exosuit upgrades. It was a great day, since I'm up to 24 slot multitool and a lot of space in my exosuit. Wondering if I should grind crashed ships or wait til I have enough cash to get the next one.

I visited a lot of Operational Centres, but I didn't find the blueprint anywhere. I also realized there are a lot of structures I no longer care about. I think I actually visited basically all the "Colonial Outposts" of the moon, so I think I need to venture on to the next planet. I did get Warp Core Tau and Theta, though!

Are you making sure you're in a Korvax system?

I just got home from work after thinking about this game all day and I opened up Steam and the first game that is staring back at me on the recommended thing at the top of the store page is Spore

Real funny guys

How does the waypoint system work (space map)? I'm following the 'blue' line for hours now (warping around 5-6 waypoints/jump ~500lightyears) and it doesn't seem to end.

Is it maybe bugged? It is also bringing me further away from the core.

Yeah good luck. I have a 25 slot ship and the last 5 crash sites have been 24 slots. I don't mind too much though because I have a so far completely unique ship to what I've seen.

I think the stars other than yellow ones just have a higher chance to have interesting planets, events etc. At least that's how I think it would work and from my limited testing (1 green system and 1 red system so far)

Finally found a 28 after going through 9 other crashed ships.

Are you making sure you're in a Korvax system?

Hahah, I was on the same moon i Vy'keen space all yesterday, so no. Thanks so much for the tip. I still have only encountered a single Gek system, however, the space station had no one near the trading terminal.

Yeah, when you've put in a bunch of time into the game, you start ignoring two thirds of the structures.

I no longer care about ruins or monoliths because words mean nothing to me at this stage. Drop ships mean nothing as my exosuit is at 48, and as for crappy little shelters? Forget it. Transmission towers to find crashed ships and operational centres to try and get new tech or an atlas pass are all I'm really interested in.

If there's a lot of good resources on a planet I'll search everywhere for a building with a terminal, though. Sometimes those can be like gold dust.

What's this about green red and blue systems? How can you tell what color system in your in?

On the galactic map. Most stars are yellow but there are green, red and blue ones scattered in the mix that are off the beaten path (Atlas path). People are theorizing they're more interesting, or at least have the chance to be more interesting than yellow star systems.

Finally found a 28 after going through 9 other crashed ships.

Damn. Congrats though lol

on that map you can click L1/R1 to see different waypoints. I believe the blue path is to follow the atlas story... but no idea if it's bugged.

I need help with a number puzzle

The numbers given-
5-14-41-122-XXX

Answers being

355
365
356

Now I thought, 'Ok maybe it's that all the numbers equal 5'

But none of the answers doo

>_<
Just woke up, but this seems like you have to multiply the previous number by 3 and then substract 1, so I'm thinking 365?

I can't seem to advance my "extreme survival" beyond level 1. It says I've survived 2.8 sols and need .2 more for milestone and has been sitting there for ages. Every harsh planet I land on results in no change to my progress. This is causing me to be stuck on the progress at the anomaly space station as well.

Am I missing something? Is there a specific harsh planet I need to target? Strange that I'm level 10 in every single area except all animals on a planet and the extreme survival. And I know why the animal thing is still sitting at level 1 at least.

So what happens when you approach a star?

Nothing as far as I'm aware. It just appears to be a lighting backdrop that can never be approached.

I loaded up my entire ship inventory on nothing but Thamium9 and pointed directly at the Sun and did the Pulse speed and just beelined towards it for like 45 minutes and refilled the fuel as it got low while I browsed the internet.

I felt like never got close or did it seem like the Sun was getting bigger, as far as I'm aware you can never fly into the Sun and at some point an invisible wall exists that prevents you from moving further despite it looks like you are actually moving.

Spent 2 hours boost-jumping over a planet looking for the last remaining species.
Didn't find it.
Will probably continue doing so after work today.
This game, man.

On the bright side, I found 4 or 5 suit upgrades on the way. Still need a better multitool and equip some grenades though, I almost got lost in a cave.

+1 to extreme conditions/"undaunted" being broken. Somehow I have 2.7 sols but it's been stuck there for the past two days. Super frustrating since I finally figured out how to do the collector/analysis milestones.
It's probably been mentioned here before but there's two Steam achievements for extreme conditions that have been achieved by a solid 0% of players. Definitely bugged.
edit: Ok, the resetting counter makes sense. Still, I think it's unlikely that no one got the achievements if it works.

Found a derelict ship and restored it. Ugly design but better than the starter ship. Hope to buy or find a better ship in the future. There was a nice looking ship I could've bought for cheap but it had two slots less which sucked.

Maybe it has to do with what level protection you have installed? Mine stopped counting after I got theta-level (100% protection for like 5 minutes even in the most insane conditions) of each element type. Installed them all at once after lucking out with a gravity ball planet. I sort of assumed those upgrades were to make that category easier to obtain!

Anyway, without a fix here I'll probably be at level 10 of all milestones in another few days except survival. Nooooo.

Try doing it on extremely bleak planets where plant life sticks out easily, and ones without any water. Scan all the resource plants ASAP do you don't forget about them later. And hey, it's hard to complain about suit upgrades.

So update on my Multitool story, shortly after posting I started playing again and I went to a new planet, just happened to enter the atmosphere directly over a colony. One of the guys asked if I wanted help with the weather or Sentinels and I said Sentinels and BAM he offered me a Multitool with 10 slots.

My beam now completely wrecks Sentinels to the point where I have been deliberately trying to get a 3 star wanted rating so I can get some of those displays, but I kill them too quick to get beyond 2 stars! WOO!

Also, the slots are once again set up so that there's a dangler slot so I put the Grenade upgrade in there and woooooo it is party tiiiiime!

One question that's totally unrelated - how do you feed animals!? Do you need to buy food somewhere?

Found the coolest ship.

DIdn't have enough credits to get it.

That is hot shit, how many inventory slots did it have??

I'm having the same issue so I looked it up.

It's either a bug OR...

...it works very oddly. It's not cumulative. Whenever you take off from a planet the 'Sols survived counter' resets to 0 and what's left as your milestone is your 'top score' from a planet. So if you're currently on 2.8, you have to go to a planet, get to 2.8 again and THEN you'll see the number go up. Which means that to get the top milestone you'll be hanging around on a planet in one stretch for a very, very long time.

I can't confirm this, but it sounds plausible. Or it's a bug in a game littered with them.

Try it out and if it works let us know.

.

It resets any time you die or go to space.

So last time you made it to 2.7, it reset, and now your waiting to hit another 2.7 sols untill it'll start counting up again.

PS3 Trophies.org has done some testing. You need to do it all in one stretch.

Finally found a new ship. 28 slots feels so much better than 16. Now it's time to spend a day farming a planet for mats to upgrade it.

If you remain in a system or fly to the space station there you will notice the same ships (literally the same ones) always come dock. Some dock a lot less than other though so you sometimes need to leave and come back. Also, those exact same ships can be found crashed and awaiting repair. But that's more or a luck of the draw type thing than outright purchasing

Thanks, did exactly that! Waited in this system for way too long but it''s finally mine!!!!

Also, this is the biggest creature I've found:

What id like is to have certain planets that reside close to a star to be mega bright to the point of you needing a darkened helmet visor suit upgrade.....

Found a planet filled with Vortex cubes. Literally everywhere I go I can find Vortex Cubes. Though the sentinels immediately go to level 3 when I grab one. I'm rich!

Yep, found a vortex cube planet yesterday. Made a cool 1.2 mil in a really short time. Thinking of mining it more tonight for some free cash before I leave the system.

The waypoint markers on the HUD are driving me crazy. If I choose not to visit one, it stays on the HUD, even if I go to another planet. The only way it leaves is if I travel to a whole other star system. Sometimes even when I do visit the location, the marker still doesn't go away on the HUD.

I've had times where there are two or three extra waypoints constantly on my screen, and it can be so confusing or distracting. Is there any way to fix this?

Anyone who thinks this game crashes a lot can't have played Frontier or Daggerfall back in the day. Incidentally they were also procedurally generated. I bet bug testing is pretty hard when you can do anything.

Got the survival Trophy yesterday, just went in some cave entrance and left the game running with occasional life-support (upgraded) refills.
The environmental hazards don't affect you anymore when in a cave.

Yeah. I'm just camping out in a building with my Gek buddy at an outpost.

I can only last like 40 minutes or so without needing to refill my life-support though. I wish I had that life support theta.

What happens when your life support runs out anyway? Does your health start decreasing?

Same, altho I left it and should've named it Vortex Planet cuz I might need to look for it again lol

Landed on "Earth 2"
Planet is about 2/3 water, temperature is about 20 C, and there are no toxic/radioactive elements to the point that I don't even have that top bar in the lower left corner. And the life support bar only goes down slightly when the "Storm" comes (which is just regular rain). There are plenty of animals (a few slightly aggressive), lots of flora, and plutonium and emeril crystals all over the place.

Tbe only negative is relative scarcity of points of interest, not many within the walking distance, so I tend to fly a lot. It's a Vy'keen system, so of course all of a sudden they are throwing multitools at me on sight...

I think I'll stay here for a while to gear up some more, it's beautiful.

I spoilered it for the people obsessed with spoilers, but I'm wondering if specific interactions with NPCs may be tied to having specific items in your inventory, unless this happened to someone else?

Had an interaction with a Vykeen which had't happened before
he asked me to cut open my hand, you lose a life bar but gained a very high level radiation protection ... don't know if it was because I was holding a Vykeen knife?
