You are not infiltrating anything with 3+ friends in coop. They are there to shoot shit and grind for better weapons and skins etc.
Ain't got no time for stealth!

Sony should just buy Konami and let Kojima make Chapter 3 and Remakes of MG1&2 closing the circle once and for all.
Why? Just for the lulz.
Duckroll too OP. Pls Nerf. What do you mean by "zero" involvement though? Kojima Productions is his studio, he is the head of the studio and he called the shots on the brands they ran. Both Touch and Social Ops were developed by staff within Kojima Productions who had worked on previous and future Metal Gear games. These are people who work under Kojima, and resources spend on the games with his blessing.
I know it's cool and hip to try and paint a picture that anything Kojima does is creative, noble, and exciting, while anything Konami does is corporate and anti-consumer. The truth is, Kojima is just as much of a businessman as he is a game designer. He has to be to keep cash flowing to fund his ambitious productions. This is why when he goes out on his own and creates a new development studio, the first products out of the studio are not games which fans are excited for, but merchandising using the studio logos and mascot collectibles. The man knows how to milk just as well as Konami does, the difference is he's also a magician who makes fans suck it up and feel good about it at the same time.

Yeah, Kojima is finally free to make things other than Metal Gear, we should get him to make them again.
You're aware that the same things have been done for Metal Gear spinoffs forever now right? Metal Gear Ghost Babel, Metal Gear Ac!d, and Metal Gear Ac!d 2 are all different continuities which use story hooks at the beginning to tie them to one particular Metal Gear game (usually the most recent one) while either ignoring that it contradicts everything after, or coming up with a gag excuse at the end which renders the story of the game kinda "pointless". Taking Metal Gear "canon" seriously is bad for health.
Set directly after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Survive sees the members of Militaires Sans Frontières not killed in that game’s finale transported through wormholes into an alternate universe, where they’re forced to battle a force of crystalline zombies and, it seems, at least one Metal Gear itself.
Actually, just like Deus Ex: Human Revolution was a better Metal Gear Solid than Metal Gear Solid 4, it's looking like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be the same to Metal Gear Solid V.
$$$Why it gotta be zombies tho
literally the least interesting enemy in video games

Metal gear is free money, especially if they reuse assets like they are here. I can see this for next year, a mgs3 remake in 2018,and a new original adventure by 2020 or before.
What characters can it even have though? Miller? All I can envision is some umbrella chronicles shit.
Seems like an expansion of MGSV's MP, a standalone 4 player co-op horde mode.
Not interested, thanks.
This is hilarious. Konami are stuck with the Metal Gear series after Kojima leaves, and what's their way of progressing the series? "Zombies! We'll add Zombies!"
And then they can even be bothered to figure out a way to fit it into the lore. "And then they get sucked into a wormhole and end up in another dimension!"
You want people to be logical and patient? You're crazy bro! Stand on the mountain and yell fuck Konami!I'm a huge MGS fan, but also a 'look at everything on its own merits', kinda fella. The right thing to do here is to wait on gameplay and more info. The announcement on its own isn't worth getting angry about. As for the GZ tie, come on, this is clearly non-canon. It didn't happen. Let them do their fun co-op zombie idea.
Of course if it turns out to be a piece of fucking shit like Umbrella Corps, then sure, unleash the floodhates.
It makes as much sense as MGSV "story".
Granted, the gameplay was amazing so long as you weren't repeating the same mission archetypes for the billionth time. It had as much variety in missions as Just Cause 1. And absolute shit encounters with the.Ghosts
After V I'm glad the series is done.
Would this be better received or worse if this was actually pachinko?
Yeah. It's not surprising but not all games can have intelligent or even normal discussion around them. It's just easier to do this.I'm a huge MGS fan, but also a 'look at everything on its own merits', kinda fella. The right thing to do here is to wait on gameplay and more info. This makes me curious as to how long it's been in development for. I'll laugh if this was kojimas idea in the first place."And today on Fuck Konami news...". Can't wait to hear Jim tearing this one apart.
But let's be real, if it had been Kojima I bet everyone would have been okay with this lol. Seems so wacky that it's almost as if it came from the man himself.
The optimist in me hopes for a zombie-themed MGSV stealth-action experience with co-op, character based strategy.

Like the rest of MGSV's story?Lol. this is something Kojima would come up with if he decided to abandon all subtlety and was drunk all the time.
