lmao what are you people on about her hair for. it's hair, it does not matter. it's never mattered.
You should know by now. Strict adherence, like a bible.

I get the feeling there will be more people expecting people to get mad than actual people that are mad
That's the point. Gwen Stacy was supposed to show that shit still happens, no matter how good you are, and especially, that you can lose more than one person. It made Peter reluctant to start a relationship, and after all he did and got married and stuff was because he, has a character, grew confident enough to accept the past and look forward. It's actually one of my favorite development in comics, but Disney don't care and it seems that neither do you. Whatever, I'm in for High School Musical with powers anyways. They already had a Peter Parker loved one die so he learns that great power must also come great responsibility, and the personal sacrifices that come with being Spider-Man.
It had happen in Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962).
Because it's a defining trait of the character? At this point they don't even need to use MJ. They could have made a new character.lmao what are you people on about her hair for. it's hair, it does not matter. it's never mattered.
They really should make her dye her hair. Red hair is MJ's defining physical trait.
If hair is the most important part of a character that's pretty sad.I'm not one to get in a huff about comicbook accuracy but Mary Jane being a redhead is her most famous feature.
It's protein! Thats not a defining trait of anything!Because it's a defining trait of the character? At this point they don't even need to use MJ. They could have made a new character.

And Ultimate Spider-Man did it just fine. That's the point. Gwen Stacy was supposed to show that shit still happens, no matter how good you are, and especially, that you can lose more than one person. We are now at the point where people get outraged before there is anything to be outraged about.
That said, MJ is basically now a minor character in Spider-Man, they have been One More Dayed for a very long time.
This is just the beginning. What next? White shit on Spidey's outfit?
lmao what are you people on about her hair for. it's hair, it does not matter. it's never mattered.
I never said they shouldn't have hired a black girl. I just said they should make her dye her hair red.And like I said black women can look great with red hair. Rihanna looks dope when she goes red

Hair colour means nothing. It wouldn't make a blind bit of difference to the character.I don't know man, seeing superman run around with blonde hair and brown eyes just wouldn't be the same. MJ's has always been iconically red, it's pretty much synonymous with the character (until now I guess?).
I don't mind the race change, they can do whatever they want with their property. But did anyone else notice it's always the red headed characters?
The West family in The Flash. Jimmy Olsen in Supergirl. And now Mary Jane. Who will be next?
How can I possibly relate to her now??????but she's not white
muh canon experience
This girl is Mary Jane. She's stunningly beautiful. I think it would be fucking doooooope if they did a red ombré with her hair.
I never said they shouldn't have hired a black girl. I just said they should make her dye her hair red.
Well that's not true at all. You could explain away anyones physical traits that way. That doesn't mean people aren't defined by physical characteristics. If hair is the most important part of a character that's pretty sad.
It's protein! Thats not a defining trait of anything!
you gotta keep up with the times, son
They did turn Matt Murdoch into a brunette, does that count?
Did they reboot Jean Grey yet?
But that was alternate reality nonsense.
Yes I'm still mad about One More Day.
We talking about the girl from the acne treatment commercials? She looks pretty white to me, but maybe has some mixed races in her genes

Ew. Don't remind me. What an insufferable performance.this one?
It has an ongoing starting this fall.
Who's Zendaya? Some Disney star?
Hair colour does not mean shit to who a person is, how they act, their behaviour, their mentality. Nothing.Well that's not true at all. You could explain away anyones physical traits that way. That doesn't mean people aren't defined by physical characteristics.
Read up. A blond superman is still superman.I disagree completely, some characters are iconic or instantly recognizable based on their hair color. Sure, it's not a defining characteristic for all characters, but for some, definitely so. I'd put MJ/Clark Kent in that category (in my personal opinion).
And like I said black women can look great with red hair. Rihanna looks dope when she goes red

Oh, my bad......I never said you did? I'm agreeing with you. I just like the red haired MJ, as someone else said in the thread it would be weird seeing Superman or Batman with blonde hair. Its just basically always black / dark
And if we lived in a world where people were only recoginzed by their behavior, you might have a point here. Character design is, has been, and always will be an important part of developing a character.Hair colour does not mean shit to who a person is, how they act, their behaviour, their mentality. Nothing.
