This animation is gone too.
The animation change is interesting. I think i prefer the new less expressive one.

Don't kid yourself. This is the exact same build as E3.
That animation might only play the first few times you enter a shrine. It seems like an animation to convey surprise.
I like this idea for it and really hope that is the case with a lot of the animations. That there might be special "first time" animations for things but then not again because link has gotten use to it, instead of looking goofy/surprised every time it happens. I doubt there would be that much thought put into it but I can hope.
Neat, they showed off some footage of the runes again https://twitter.com/NintendoEurope/status/767753824345939968

I wonder how large of a role music will play in the game. It'll be interesting to find out, especially knowing that the game focuses more on ambiance than the traditional style.
I would have expected it to explode when the time unfroze![]()
Yeah, I also want to know what is the instrument this time around. Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess' were a bit disappointing.

I really hope that there are other themes for enemy fights, I'm already sick of this one. I'd like more ambient stuff, not bongos and sharp flute noises.
Nice! And, hopefully we get some truly new footage very soon. Since Nintendo said they'd share more later this summer.
Weird Nintendo went silent with BotW after E3 for a full month or so and now they are talking about it again with this videos, even if it's nothing new. Hope this is the sign of new info incoming. Can't believe we're still so damn far away of being able to play this : /
On the NX reveal event for example! Sigh![]()
It's probably gonna change per areas.
Also, goddamn that shockwave on the last hit of the Claymore spin attack actually as a massive hitbox. It's like Dark Souls, except Link is the boss.
I came across this video analysing the music in Breath of the Wild. Very interesting stuff in there.

Although my biggest takeaway from that video was realising the opening notes in the BOTW trailer mirror those in the OOT title screen. So obvious now.

I fucking love that the Sand Rod is back, albeit in a different execution.
How so? There's no weapon even resembling what the Sand Rod does.

André promising the BotW analysis is suuuper close (not this weekend, tho) at the beginning of his SM64DS G&W.
Whoa! What was that yellow chain rune thing that influences direction? I think I missed that before.
The Stasis Rune allows Link to lock certain objects in time for a short period, before that object regains its movement. This can often be used on gear-based machinery to stop it from moving until Link is safely past, but it can be used to stop unwanted traps as well. It can even be used to contain momentum, as Link can freeze certain heavy objects, pound on them with a strong weapon, and release the object from stasis to send it flying from all the pent-up energy.
