Only Two more weeks to go.

Excellent.

Really funny.

I don't think they'll release the Neo this year. Doesn't make sense that they'll release two PS models close to each other, with the slim PS4 coming out in September, as rumours have said. They might just save it for March 2017, I guess?

For people saying $199 - how can that happen? I would LOVE to see it but it just doesn't make sense. They currently have a cod bundle for $350 - how does a new slim model appear for $199 just like that?

You know - they had that 12GB version of the PS3 that was cheaper - they could've done something like that (while stripping optical out), no bluray drive (digital only) and making a smaller (250gb maybe) HDD but it's clearly 500GBs WITH a blu ray drive. $199 isn't happening. I think they will bundle something for the US for $299. What has been unboxed is for the Mideast/Europe so maybe that's why it's not bundled with anything? Not sure what's available to them.

I'd love to see an unbundled slim for $249 but lower than that? Unlikely.

When you dream, anything can happen.

When you're awake, it's $299.

Has anything about the conference seen leaked yet except the Slim console?

Will we see a new marketing campaign like with Kevin Butler and the "Only does" campaign of the PS3 era?

Neo will be the focus and we should see the Christmas gaming bundles being announced.

I'll bet you 10k it's gonna be called the PS4 Pro.

PS4K is going to be the name for this device. Sony is going to come out and really push it as a 4k Blu Ray player and that games are better on it. Calling it Plastation 4 Elite or PlayStation 4 Pro does not really convey in what my opinion Sony is going after.

I think they should make a consistent name for it like "S" , So for instance

2013: PS4
2016: PS4 S
2019: PS5
2022: PS5 S
(etc etc)

That way they have a nice consistent naming process that leaves very little room for confusion. PS4k sounds nice but it cant actually do 4k gaming, which would make them look really shady.

While I do tend to agree with this, do we know that they are including a 4K player in it?

People will confuse S for Slim. The general public is stupid remember.

We don't know with absolute certainty, but it would completely absurd if it didn't have an Ultra HD /4K Blu-ray player.

I do agree. And it would be absurd. I mean, Xbox One S has one right? I'm just pointing out the odd possibility that it doesn't instead of stating it as if it were fact is all.

I like the way speaker company Q Acoustics (and others) name their products and put an i for improved at the back of a newer version of a product. Then it would be:

PS4 and PS4i

B&W ofcourse always comes with 's2' and Canon for example uses Mk II or Mk III. CGR uses now Mark3 :-)

I've said this in several other threads already, but they will name it PS4X. Enough to differentiate itself from the standard PS4, and doubles as a nice callback to the PSX moniker of old.

It's going to be the PS4 Plus. Come on guys...it's too easy. People already know it from the online service and Apple as well. Boring as hell, but I guarantee this is what the name will be.

PS4K is too good not to use.

It'll obviously have a 4K Bluray player even though the games wont be native 4K...
It's also something that'll confuse and possibly prevent people from buying it if they don't have a 4k TV yet.

I honestly don't expect a name that just adds a letter after the ps4. It's probably going to be a word.

Maybe, but it's too confusing with Sony's existing PlayStation Plus service. It might make the average consumer question whether PlayStation Plus is only available on PS4 Plus, and so on.

I'm going with PS4 MAX.
