Theme park levels in games

First examples to come to mind were indeed Witchy World from Banjo Tooie, Specter Land from Ape escape and the Hub World in Illbleed(which is backwards, levels in the game are different horror themed and the game itself takes place in a huge murderous theme park).

Krazy Kermland in DKC2 and Carny in HotD:Overkill are good pics.

Carnevil is a on rails shooter that takes place in a killer Amusement Park too.

someone post pics from rocket: robot on wheels!

that shit was the best, like one giant theme park. i remember it very fondly.

100% agreed, Rocket Robot on Wheels was one giant theme park, and it was awesome, IMO the best N64 platformer (yes, better than Mario 64). The game even had a roller coaster editor! The physics engine was also amazing and well-used, and graphically it looked absolutely great.

Does Theme Park World for PS1 count? Masterpiece.
I remember a small level in Dead Nation too. One of the darkest of the game as far as I remember.. obviously, ain't a theme park if it isn't scary.

Are people deliberately avoiding Eggmanland?

I honestly forget that it's not apart of Sonic Colors. It's my least revisited of Unleashed (Mostly because it's the last and I lose the will to play somewhere after the 6th Werehog level).

It's a great looking level...Just horrendously long IIRC.

Dead Rising 2: Off The Record added a theme park section. It was kinda fun for a bit since there's a fair bit of wacky ways to kill the zombies with the rides etc.

I'm pretty sure I have some sort of weird obsession/ non-sexual fetish with theme parks / rollercoasters in video games. Maybe it's because theme park levels are always the most detailed. Glad to see I'm not the only weird one

Also, Jumping Flash.

Most of the levels have a theme park feel to them, even though they aren't themed as such.

The carnival level in Sanitarium always creeped me out (the whole game creeped me out).

Also the Atlantic theme park in the Secret World, which they eventually turned into its own game called "The Park."

I think everyone loves a theme park even if they don't openly want to admit it. Even when you are older and you feel you've grown out of them...taking the kids to a theme park is a good excuse for you to get a buzz out of it as well.

Tying together video games and theme parks just seems like a natural fit to me..probably why I get a kick out of theme park construction sims. I also spent way too much time hanging out in gtav's Del Perro pier than I probably should have.

Something I remembered, Warpath Jurassic Park (a JP themed fighting game for PS1) actually had an arena based on the Jurassic Park segment of Islands of Adventure. You can even see the Incredible Hulk Coaster in the background.

Perhaps he's wondering why someone would shoot a man before throwing him out of a plane.
How have gone this long without mentioning goddamn Roller Coaster Tycoon?

The original Red Steel on Wii has a strange theme park level with some weird stuff in it.

Darkness 2 has a level set on a boardwalk theme park. Really enjoyed that game.

Thought of WitchyWorld immediately upon reading the thread. Some of the worlds in Tooie were hit or miss, but I thought WitchyWorld was great. Loved it.

I've been hearing a lot of praise for it recently. It's too bad there's no way to play it beyond on an N64.
