I just hope it is out before November, is priced £399.99 or below and allows me to swap my 2TB HDD to it or comes with a 2TB HDD as standard.

Don't be naïve, a game runs at 1080p 30fps on the XB1 and the PS4 leaves lots of legroom for the PS4.

There's no way to tell whether the game is CPU or GPU-bound.

With the CPU doing the bottlenecking (as is the case with most games this gen), you'd see a marginal performance boost over XB1 at best.

With $249 for the PS4 Slim, Sony can easily outcompete the Xbone S as the entry level current-gen console.

Doubt Neo will be more than $449. It's premium hardware, but even at $499 for the original Xbone people were bitching about it.

Eh, I dunno. Destiny is a fairly unimpressive game to me. I wouldn't be surprised if unlocked, it ran at a round the mid 40's most of the time.

It is, after all, a cross-gen game.

You heard it here first, guys. A game running at 1080p30 can run at 1080p60 because an arm chair developer said so. Amazing, this forum is.

I hope its more. They need to release a top tier powerful machine that reeks of supreme build quality of features.

why bother releasing it otherwise? The PS4 is out and available for anyone who wants to save a few bucks

For the $399 wishers, how many of you will be very pissed if $499 is revealed? Regardless of higher specs.

I just won't buy one yet. It'd be a nice thing to have because of its obvious technical advantages and the UHD BD player, but I don't really NEED those things yet. The UHD BD library is still pretty slim and there probably won't be that many "Neo mode" games to start out, so waiting is the logical thing to do if you don't like the price. For me $399 is the right price - more than that and I can't justify owning a second PS4. Won't be pissed - I just won't buy one.

Sony can beat MS with the same $300 of XBO S.

But If I already have a Ps4 with a 2 TB upgrade in it, its an easier upgrade path.

For users upgrading to a premium product, it would be better with no hard drive as many will have their HD technology of choice anyway.
Agreed, I'd rather have no HDD and install my own ssd.

Also a 4.2tf system for 449-499 will get laughed at. Better be stronger than that. All I see is an over clocked CPU with a mildly stronger GPU.

For someone who doesn't own a 4K TV and, already has a PS4 whatever Sony puts out needs to have value. Backwards compatibility with PS3/Vita, 1080P/60, more storage, fixed Vita remote play, new controller, faster speeds, trade in program.

You might be in luck with a couple of those.

Wild speculation time:

Slim $299/£249, released either on the day or within a week of the meeting

Neo $499/£450, with a spec bump, released January

The Slim has a slightly different controller so the Neo will get that also and more storage is likely.

Can someone explain why they think PS4Neo will be so expensive? I don't get it. To me that insane.

Two things spring to mind:
- it's can't be more than an original PS4 because it's an incremental upgrade i.e. not a generational leap
- it's supposed to be a PSVR companion i.e. bring more capability to PSVR at an additional cost

So it needs to be cheap and launched this year. These £400 predictions seem...too much. Surely it'll tank at that price because it is, after all, just a PS4 (apart from people here who know otherwise).
-because it's a premium item
-uhd players arent cheap
-rumored larger hdd, larger 2.5 hdds arent as cheap
-ps4 is still selling well
-the slim will be the affordable sku
-there will be no competition for a console like that till scorpio
-dropping the price when scorpio arrives seems smart

...
Sony trade-in program in association with Ebay.

Are people still talking about official trade-in programs? The only thing less likely is an included VR breakout box.
exactly. its a pipe dream
