Neo won't have 4k resolution in big games that push hardware.
That's silly because if the game is 4K it most likely will be pushing the hardware.

Can't the same be said about Scorpio? We didn't get any details when it was announced.
Personally I believe Sony will delay Neo until they know it'll beat Scorpio, I have no proof but I just can't see Sony launch Neo knowing that it'll be weaker than the next Xbox just a year later, seems way too short sighted for a tech focused company like Sony.

After watching the DF video about temporal resolution and checkerboard rendering I'm not worried at all. That's silly because if the game is 4K it most likely will be pushing the hardware.

That looks really familiar but I can't tell what it is.
.
Pushing hardware is relative, Does a game like Resogun not push hardware where they even used GPGPU for collisions, physics and particles blasts for explosions.Neo won't have 4k resolution in big games that push hardware.
Games like COD have not been documented to make use of Compute Shaders, other titles have, yet COD is a 60fps title on consoles. People look at these systems and go wreckless with their talk on Jaguar, not that I don't want a better CPU on NEO, but Jaguar is a very capable CPU, especially if you cater to the architecture of current console hardware.onQ123 said:People calling Jaguar weak but as far as I can remember 8 Jaguar cores have been the best CPU to go into a PlayStation console. PlayStations never had a beast of a CPU it has always been the Vector Unit co-processors that helped out, the only thing is that for PS4 the co-processing was done by GPU compute.

Stop trying to get people's hopes up. AAA games will not have a 4K resolution on Neo. Neither will Scorpio. That's silly because if the game is 4K it most likely will be pushing the hardware.
Makes no sense. Sony doesn't have to fear a 1 or 1.5TF difference. They're going to launch their console one year earlier and it will be way cheaper. In the end, it's still PS vs. Xbox. Nothing will change, just because another console (1 year later) will have a 1.5TF stronger GPU.Can't the same be said about Scorpio? We didn't get any details when it was announced.

A launch game Resogun, which is heavy on physics and collisions had all of that running on compute shaders, so they hardly used more than 50% of the jaguar CPU. So if a game like COD only uses the jaguar and perhaps not even at optimum or efficiently, you're going to get a game with dips and people will run in to say, hey, it's those nasty jaguars, but in reality the jaguars on their own are not bad and they were made to work with GPGPU in conceptualization of the hardware.

It's not too far off, I can't wait for all those people who were so sure that they know what the specs and price on the system is going to be..Sony Korea confirms livestream for their conference of 8th september. New PS4 model

I know. When people say games will be in 4K people will take that to mean rendered in 4K native. It's getting people's hopes up (for those that listen) for no reason whatsoever.FauxK will be in 👍

It's a giant enemy crab.Guys I'm certain that the game informer cover is a red crab holding a neo
Yeah, I don't think that has anything to do with NEO, people forget that PSVR is launching in October.......That will no doubt get lots of coverage and attention in the coming weeks.Could that maybe be Rigs... it is PSVR release month next month and Rigs one of the most high profile full games being made for it.. looks kinda like a mech in front of an explosion... Either that or Crash Bandicoot![]()
People buying 4k TV's for PS4 Neo is kind of like when people bought 1080p TV's for PS3.
