I wouldn't read into their silence too much. I think there's a real effort going on to try and surprise us. There wasn't much hyping going on before PS4's reveal either.

Making Neo and the Slim cost the same is absolutely asinine, regardless of what price he picked. He might have changed his mind now (haven't seen it, don't follow him closely), but you can't spin this shit as "merely suggesting". The guy even said, shocked of course, "wow, you think they're gonna cost the same...", and then Colin interrupted to explain why he thinks that will be the case.

He probably did change his mind considering just how absurd the prediction is.

Vince "The Guy" Ingenito said that in regards to colin suggesting the best case scenario is the neo will cost the same as the current ps4s price at $349. Not the slim. Besides, you mention how you haven't been following what he's been saying as of late. If you did you would have also heard him predict the slim to be a $200 difference. PS4 production news came out end Aug/early Sep with production starting slightly earlier.

Foxconn leaks suggest Ndo already started mass production.

There's a foxconn worker who's been posting drawings of the system and giving other details like model numbers and what not meaning it's in mass production already. And this isn't a new generation launch or anything, they don't expect to sell a ton of these this year, especially since there's a lower price ps4 that's also going to be on the market.

No, they would not do an especial event set in New York for that. If it was just a revision for the Vita there would be no PS Meeting on September and they would use Tokyo Game Show (Vita's lead market) to talk about it.

More bandwidth is possible given that having more effects requires a beefier GPU bandwidth, and the thing is aiming for 4.2+ TF... which is calculated with GPU memory clocks and bandwidth as well...

Still, 320GB/sec is more bandwidth than the actual full AMD 480 card. Saying it's unrealistic is an understatement. With a 256-bit bus that's not happening.
