Looks fun. Hopefully it won't be too long before it is out on Android. I am watching the conference because I was planning on watching the PlayStation Meeting anyway, and this was a nice surprise.
This is crazy. Mario will get so much exposure before NX releases!
It's not an endless runner lol
It doesn't seem big, but the way apps go viral are insane. Nearly every single person has a phone and when they see or hear people talk about apps, it's only a button away to get in on the experience.
Oh God no, not the NSMB aesthetic again. D:
Half the people in this thread must not be watching the livestream.
Says in-app purchases right there, what are people talking about?
Wow. This will be a day long remembered
Only Nintendo could sully such a giant moment by revealing a fucking runner.
Probably a mistake, Miyamoto specifically said it was pay once.
Wait, this is a premium game? Is DeNA not involved, then?
It looks similar to the Rayman runners. Emphasis on timing of jumps more than anything else. They work really well and the level design is quite good.I never play games on mobile, but everyone is saying that this is an endless runner.
But they showed levels in the game so it means it's not endless?
Ok serious question...if they can put games on iPhone then why not Xbone/PS4?

welp, I'm going iOS now.
I wonder if the detractors played Rayman Jungle Run before because that's a fantastic title on mobile.

Well the Miyamoto part is over, but you can also watch it if you have a Mac or iOS device.

It's not a traditional endless runner. The video shows Mario stopping, changing direction, climbing, etc. It's more of a simplified control scheme to make it work well for mobile. Edit: I guess we're calling these types of games endless runners now. Seems reductive to me but okay.
That's the first thing that came to mind.Oh shit.
This is smart advertising.
Real talk it's an iPhone game, what aesthetic did you think they would use?Oh God no, not the NSMB aesthetic again. D:
