the alt-right isn't actually something new, people are just finally shining a light on the cockroaches instead if swearing up and down that they don't exist

if anything, now the term is just becoming a way of implicitly saying #notallrepublicans and being nice to far right republicans with social skills and a modicum of decorum - "you aren't like those nasty folk even if you have almost the same beliefs, they're alt-right"

or more relevantly, #nothalfofallrepublicans

Please don't pretend like "Hillary is dying" is based around anything of any legitimacy. It was a narrative formed from the tiniest of things because they had nothing better to attack her with besides emails and Benghazi. Bernie Sanders could literally do nothing and have an effective attack ad used on him just because he's 75 years old (and would have been the oldest President by two years).

All I know is that the only way Trump can win is if Hillary makes more unforced errors and hands him victories.

Better pray she doesn't fuck up in the debates, either verbally or physically.

Missing the point. People faint all the time. It's a complete non-story and because one "news" outfit went so far as to declare chronic illness with no evidence or even attempts at research, every news outlet is now breaking into regular programming about it nonstop. It's not news regardless of how much of a circlejerk the media is having.

Right. Because it's not as if inaccurate bullshit has ever stuck to a politician before, least of all Hillary Rodham Clinton. Crap like this just makes it easier for the (likely false) narrative to stick.

I hate the term too, but the 'optics' aren't good. Hopefully there are no more public displays like this before the election.

If Hillary's health conspiracies were going to make a different, they would have by now. And some fainting episode isn't going to change that, especially when she walks out just an hour later perfectly fine. Whites are having their influence reduced each and every election, but they aren't yet to a point where the vote there can't swing an election to a candidate who is exclusively for them. In fact, there are some of the more educated and still conspiratorial variety that sees this as their last great chance to exert control and influence. See the Supremes.

I'm pretty sure you are underestimating the effect that undecideds have. The polling right now is looking okay. Not great, but okay. We haven't even had a debate yet, and the closest thing to it showed the moderator being a flaccid penis in the presence of Trump and grilling Clinton on emails, even when the concern by the right going in was that he wouldn't be fair because he was associated with the Clinton Foundation. Will that influence future moderators? Hopefully. Not guaranteed.

Again, I've worked with these people. Know them. Have family like that. I have some experience in what I say. Perception can easily become reality. Remember that.

PoliGAF trying hard to pass this off as a non-story when presidential elections are made up of stories like this. It's a big deal to the public and easy to spin. If Trump was smart he'd release his medical records tomorrow if there is indeed nothing majorly wrong in them just to force the narrative even further.

Not a part of PoliGaf. Couldn't be further from it. I just can't fathom why some people believe 80 degrees is just fine. I can totes see heat exhaustion being a thing.

Because MILLIONS OF PEOPLE live in places where low 80s is not a big deal. These places include Illinois, Arkansas and NY.

What did you think they were going to do? Hide her away all day after she seizes in front of everyone? It was an image decision. If they don't do everything they can to dispel the urgent health concerns then they are in serious trouble. That means propping her up and getting her out and smiling again.

Hillary's team coming out so quickly to quash bad PR shows it is a concern.

But this is also does not guarantee President Trump.

If you want to pretend there haven't been prior standing questions about her health, by all means. Most rational and curious people are going to think fainting from "heat exhaustion" in barely 80 degree temps is a bit suspect.

Her health IS suspect to many people, you may disagree, but that doesn't shut down the discussion.

What is Hillary team doing? shouldn't they release a statement explaining what is going on? they need to assure people so Trump can gain the least out of this(it's still going to be big but minimize the losses for god's sake)
