Not a jab, but you should look at this objectively, not from a defensive standpoint. The woman just fainted in front of our eyes, it's worthy of serious discussion.

And she is out and about right now. Old people who are out in the heat faint. I've seen my parents get heat exhaustion and flop clean the fuck over. It doesn't mean there is some medical condition, which is the entire point of this narrative, no? Shes unqualified cause of a medial issue, that has been the push for a month now.

The dismissive notion of people who find 80-degree weather to be uncomfortable reminds me a lot of this :v

It's a pointless dick measuring contest, when you're going to find yourself not quite enjoying extreme weather in colder/hotter states. :P

PoliGAF trying hard to pass this off as a non-story when presidential elections are made up of stories like this. It's a big deal to the public and easy to spin. If Drumpf was smart he'd release his medical records tomorrow if there is indeed nothing majorly wrong in them just to force the narrative even further.

If this was Trump, this thread would be all over it calling it a huge win that solidifies Clinton's lead, and giving it the treatment they say is completely out of line right now when it is Clinton. I'm definitely not a Trump supporter but the base here gets so distorted I can't tell jokes from real comments. Of course, no place where there is one hugely dominant can avoid the echo-chamber effect.

On topic, I watch the video and I feel a bit sad. I used to have a fainting spell every now and then when I was a kid but it was because I wasn't getting enough food in my diet and my blood sugar would tank. Its not fun and I bet it feels even worse when there are a lot of people around watching. It will be interesting to see if it has any effect on the polls.

At this point any further discussion is going to continue to have diminishing returns. I'm very confident in what I am talking about. We'll see the course of the discussion over the next couple of weeks who is right.

That's fine, I'm confident in my assessment as well. But I will say, almost everything you've said is based around anecdotal (I know these people, with only vague references to who they are). I'm using the actual reality of the polling, as it stands now, the effects we've seen so far since the emergence of the 'Dying Hillary' theory. Time will tell, in this case, but can you really point to something solid to show this has had a real effect on polling and perception? Do you really think such a thing will win back key minority groups that Trump has totally alienated?

She's already been shown to be up and about. She is fine. I feel like, if possible, we need a title change to reflect this. People are clearly not reading the thread and reacting to the title at this point. I know this is standard GAFing, but this is a potentially panicking and fear-monger heavy one.

I saw both videos. Michael Dukakis got out of the tank eventually too.

It's a real bad look.

Ok, what do we discuss seriously? The optics? How this feeds into a right-wing conspiracy theory? How or if the Clinton campaign should continue to respond?

Even more stupid in this "If you talk about your her fainting you're a secret trump supporter" narrative is that it doesn't even make sense. Which Hillary supporter will say "Huh, she fainted, better vote for the racist who opposes everything I stand for now"?

I don't know what your arguing? There are legitimate concerns over her health. If you are seeing alt right boogie men, that's fine, but it doesn't disqualify the discussion. A woman running for president just fainted in front of our eyes. People are questioning whether her health is ok, seems perfectly reasonable to me. (shrugs)

Though republicans are going to focus on her health and blow things up, I just hope she is actually okay, because by the gods do I hope she wins the election.

That said, passing 65 years old means the average person is at higher risk for many, many different health complications. And that is why is am typically in favour of younger candidates for any major political function. But that also goes for the other candidates.

I live in tx so 80 is usually a nice break from the 90+, but I've heard of marathons being canceled in other states when it's over 80 so I assume it's possible.

If this was a regular syncope (and that is what it looks like) she will be fine and should feel much better now. No hospital needed.

Syncope can be a symptom of a major cardiovascular problem and is a valid reason for being admitting to the hospital for cardiac monitoring.

Read the descriptions of the video here before I watched it. Obviously she looks out of it but jeez you'd think she was being carried into the van on a stretcher by the commentary.

She's fine now, but let's speculate some more on this, having no knowledge whatsoever on the situation. Oh, and they're saying it's heat-related? Hmm, should I believe them?

I'm using my experience as a pollster, IA/GIS student with research projects in this field to share my experiences. Does this not count? Sorry that I won't be able to share proprietary specifics.

Like I said though, good luck to you and us.

There are videos of her leaving the apartment and taking selfies with some kid

she is fine

I've just come home to this news and I sincerely hope that you're right. It doesn't affect me directly (UK) but damn my heart jumped when I read it. I really don't want DT in a position of power. He makes my skin crawl. I'm a pretty good judge of character and all my alarms go off when I see him.
Say what you like about Hilary but Donald Trump's ego/ lack of social skills (yes men everywhere sucking his dick at every opportunity) could start a war. Just look at his one upmanship! Fuck!

It's so close but it seems like it's taking forever.
Fucking Dump is the end of level boss.
Get to the fucking checkpoint Hilary!

I guess it'll be go young or go home in the future. What I don't understand is why someone would vote for a maniac like Trump because of this.

So if she is forced to drop out due to health reasons. Would Bernie take up the challenge and what chance would he have against Trump?

Yes, when you're past retirement age and you're running for your first term everyone's health, including Bernie, should be a major concern. Dems and Repubs should be running younger candidates.
