Fox News reporter: Hillary Clinton left 9/11 ceremony with 'medical episode'

Man, at this rate she'll probably be half dead by the vote. Jeez.

I mean to be honest the amount of stress and infront of the camera time for an American political campaign can't be good for a young person let alone an aging. Obama looks like he has aged 30 years and had a ton of sleepless nights.

For Americas sake I wish you had more diversity than rich old women vs rich old man. Like you know maybe some "youth", meaning young adult, not teenager or mid 20's, with a high IQ running for President.

Everyone on GAF seems to have become a doctor today.

The fact of the matter is, none of us knows what fully happened, why it happened, or whether this is serious. It is absolutely something to be concerned about though until we know more, and an actual diagnosis by the doctor who treated her today is the only thing that will clear things up.

Armchair MDs and climatologist when people discuss whether 80 and humid is a fainting temperature or not.

not looking good for Hillary. don't think i could vote for her ...too much uncertainty.

too bad the Democrats rigged the primaries in her favor ...Bernie would have been so much better.
I sincerely hope there aren't too many of you out there that would've voted for Bernie and are now passively supporting Trump.

Well, given that it's either a heat-sensitve person like Clinton in these high pressure, uncomfortable situations with other world leaders, or Trump in these high pressure, uncomfortable situations with other world leaders, this doesn't really change my vote.

A fainting spell aside, I still trust Clinton in situations of tense urgency far more than Donald Trump.
I dont think it will change any one's vote honestly. It just makes her seem physically unfit for the job, whereas Trump is mentally unfit. Worst case scenario, she has a few more "episodes" after winning and eventually steps down and Kaine takes her place.

Haven't read the entire thread so apologies if this has already been posted. Have you guys seen this video, which zooms in on a piece of metal falling out of her pant leg as she walks? Someone in the youtube comments says that he thinks it is a catheter pin, then someone else links here, the picture at which possibly corroborates that.

No matter what, it's just speculation, but it certainly is not a normal thing (at least in my experience) for a piece of metal to fall down through a pant leg, and it does require some sort of explanation.

YES! This is the payoff I've been following this thread for. Moar crazy pls.

I'm not american guys, what are the chances this causes real damage to her campaign?

It depends on what the response is. Today is 9/11, campaigns are basically suspended, but I do think tomorrow the Clinton campaign should get out in front of it. If there's a relatively benign medical explanation for what happened, be candid about it and put the baseless speculation and armchair doctoring to rest. Maybe joke a little about it, not so much as to be laughing it off.

I am not a doctor or a campaign strategist.

Kaine is Trump's worst nightmare.
Civil Rights fighter, no baggage, smart as a fucking whip, etc...

Actual Concern

*Hillary faints. Blames it on the heat and is fine and walking around 2 hours later* -- "Oh geez. Campaigning sure is grueling. Glad she's ok. She needs to wear cooler clothes"

Concern Trolling

*Hillary faints. Blames it on the heat and is fine and walking around 2 hours later* -- "OMG Hillary might be dying! How could she risk our country like this!? I can't vote for a person who faints! Fainting is clearly unusual and oh so unpresidential! Trump is sooooo gonna win now. We need full heath records. Oh, she already released her health records? We need FULLER health records."

It's a circus in here.
Reposting this. Try to keep your heads level, folks. I don't know why we should care "what the average voter thinks" if the average voter is a dramatic moron with outrageous reactions and only pays attention to trollish gossip.

Totally agree. I really don't understand why in America we have this idea the vast majority of the time a President has to be old. Don't get me wrong experience is a very real thing and I wouldn't want some dude in his 20s out running the nation.

But could we at least settle for idk 50?

Honestly, unless she becomes completely physically and mentally incapable of fulfilling her duties, I wouldn't see her stepping down from the presidency following even a few fainting spells. People have held the office with even more serious health ailments. Wilson, FDR, JFK (to a degree), the latter years of Reagan.

Heck, even with polio FDR managed to hold on to the white house longer than any other president. Sure, he died in office, but that was after getting elected to a record-shattering fourth term.

Too much uncertainty. So I'm going to not vote or vote Trump, because a guy who's plan is "let people come up with a plan for me, I won't tell" scream certainty.

So now some mysterious metal fell from her leg. This is too much, and by too much I mean that this "episode" of hers is gaining more and more momentum

Maybe she has a hole in her pocket and just lost a quarter.

My guess is over the next week we'll get plenty of "I've fainted before and lived to tell the tale" stories from many prominent people.

Fainting: It's More Common Than You Think.
I've had maybe four fainting spells and some dizziness. One in a chemistry lab class, one at my brother-in-law's wedding as a groomsman. These have happened about once every five years. I had extensive tests done, including a treadmill test, ultrasound of my heart, and an overnight heart monitor. They all came back normal. The cardiologist told me to eat more potato chips and come back when I'm eighty.

Trying to use CHESS criteria on someone in a video whom you've had no contact with. Jaja! Moar crazy pls!

I think she sufficiently justifies her inputs. I mean we could go back to "i'm not a doctor but this looks like something more serious than fainting!"

I'm not worried. Whatever legitimate discussion may come out of it will be completely stifled by nutjobs and pro-Trump maniacs and will cause everyone else to get turned off entirely.

Ultimately I think it has very little effect. Unless it happens again. Two more months until November. Trump might get a little boost though short term.

Well in my tiny country Scotland, our leader is 46 (two female opposition party leaders are 35/37!!). So she has nothing on Hillary at 68. Although you look at Sanders, 75. He'd probably kick the bucket in office (I don't wish death/ill health on anyone, but cmon we're talking the President of the United frickin States. Stress much?)

List specifically what they did to rig it. Remember, he lost in mid-March.

I've "fainted" from overheating before. It was about 75 degrees too. A combination of stress, a little dehydration along with being in a crowd caused me to feel extremely hot and light headed. I few people helped me out of the crowd and I collapsed on a chair. I took deep breathes, drank water, and I felt perfectly fine after.

This has happened to me 3 or 4 times over my 27 year life. But the episode above was the worst.

Not much unless they say her health is in bad shape.

Next to zero. This election is already baked in and has been for a while now.

That's reassuring. The US and the world don't deserve Trump.

Campaign is grueling man. I have family on politics and and I know how hard it is. Even then I just can't imagine how tiring and demanding a national campaign must be.

Hope she is OK and the road ahead isn't too hard on her.

Good to know you support white nationalism taking over America. I'm sure the KKK appreciates your efforts.

Me too. Almost fainted from heat exhaustion during the winter as I was working really hard with a thick winter coat on that was trapping too much heat, I was 25 at the time and in very good health.

What a joke. I can't wait until she's elected in a landslide so all of these right wing conspiracy nuts have a medical episode of choking on their own tears and a bag of dicks.

no offence but this is a channel that mostly has call of duty footage (average ~50 views) that renamed itself to "Medically" to upload this, presumably because the channel owner saw the video on 4chan or /r/the_donald and wanted to capitalize The story is going to be talked about and covered by the media, as well it should be, including if necessary scrutiny of whatever you're pointing out, but when we're talking about something "gaining more and more momentum", let's not confuse what we read with what everyone else is reading. Your media diet (and mine!) give a very skewed impression of what society at large is consuming.
