Forza Horizon 3 (PC/XB1, 2016) Confirmed; Set in Australia

Best Buy has the ultimate edition, physical available for pre order now.

Gamers Club members who pre-order get a limited Forza Horizon edition controller stand with controller skin free ($20 value):

So for $79.99 (Gamers Club members pricing, $99MSRP) you get:

Full Game ($60)
Early access to the full game (priceless)
Limited Edition SteelBook (priceless)
Forza Horizon 3 Car Pass ($30)
VIP Membership ($20)
Motorsport All-Stars Car Pack ($10?)
Forza Horizon 3 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7 Digital Pre-Order Bonus ($1)

One could argue that $120 package for $99 is a good deal. For $79 is even a better deal.

Why did you show me this? I was dead set on digital deluxe. Now I'm not sure I can pass this up.

Hehe, sorry... :)

Yeah, with Gamers Club we can get the ultimate physical at the same price as deluxe digital, AND the controller stand+skins. Hard to pass. BB gives no GC discount on digital versions of the game though. On Amazon is the same deal, less the Forza controller stand+skin.

This is why I love gamerclub. I just got my 10 bucks certz from madden so will be 69.99!

If you're going digital, the Microsoft Store has it for $99 Ultimate /$79 Deluxe /$59.99 Standard + $10 Gift Card. Discover also offer 5% cash back with Discover Deals.

I need digital for the Win10 version, and this seems to be the best offer digitally. All digital codes work with Play Anywhere as well.

Where can I buy Xbox Play Anywhere titles?

Since Xbox Play Anywhere only applies to digital games, there are multiple Store destinations that will offer Xbox Play Anywhere titles for purchase:

  • Your Xbox One console
  • The Xbox App (Windows 10, iOS, Android)
  • The Windows Store
  • Xbox.com
  • Microsoft.com
  • Digital Game Codes from participating retailers

This game needs bikes. Seriously it would be perfect for motorbikes. I'm reminded of the Test Drive Unlimited games which were the fore bearers of Horizon some 10 years ago where you had cars and bikes and a thousand miles of Hawaiian roads. Maybe Horizon 4.

If there is one thing that Horizon doesn't need it is bikes. Made PGR 4 a worse game. Go play Driveclub.

I hope this runs as well as Apex does. After coming from 6 on the Xbox to playing Apex at 4k 60 fully maxed out... It's one hell of an upgrade.

What is my cheapest option to get the game on PC?

Do all physical editions of the Xbone game come with a code for the PC version? If so the $48 Prime/GCU edition would work right?

You only get the PC version if you buy digital.

edit - also, it's not a code.. it just shows up on your xbox live account as owning the game

Singapore store for standard and deluxe. Honk Kong for Ultimate.

No physical edition comes with a code.

Unfortunately, it's only digital. I think the best digital deal is at the Microsoft Store. I posted details here. I really wish Best Buy would discount retail digital game codes with GCU. I think digital versions should always be $10 cheaper anyways.

Is there even a preload for PC or is this placeholder just there to make sure the game downloads when the game actually launches?

Yeah, they learned their lesson with the Quantum Break codes. I got it for $20 in the B/S/T thread awhile ago.

Learned their lesson? Play Anywhere is about convenience. Having to wait an unspecific amount of time until you get a code that you have to manually redeem is anything but.

I assumed "their lesson" was that having separate codes creates a secondhand market of unused codes that compete with normal retail pricing.

Exactly, I totally agree. Quantum Break was before the play anywhere program was announced. There were issues with codes rolling out, and people receiving them late. Giving out codes also opened up a second hand market for QB. This was also an issue with the Gears of War (1-3) codes sent out with Gears of War: Ultimate. With the current system, once the digital license is active on XB1 it just shows up as already owned/ready to download on W10 (&Vice Versa)

Any of the three editions come with both versions (Win10 and X1) ?

So, if I want the Deluxe one, I can buy two $20 gift cards and one $50 from the Singapore store?

Btw, isn't it cheaper to just buy the game directly from the singapore xbox store and pay the fullprice with Paypal?

went ahead and bought the ultimate edition for pc. i bought all the dlc for FH1 so I figured why not

still no preload though, huh? i know quantum break didn't have one but hopefully they learned. the way theyve been showing off the PC version at shows says they put a little more thought into this one

They did that only because the infrastructure wasn't there to support Play Anywhere. The Anniversary update merged the Xbox and Windows Store, which is why it's a required update for Play Anywhere titles.

Yes it does!

I'm hoping the next installment is located in Japan and it features bikes.

PC preload will probably be on the 21st if it's anything like Recore.

Would not like. Would completely change what Horizon is (to me at least.)

Plus, keep him mind that you can't just ass bikes in the way DC did since FH is based on the Forza model.

That's not bad, but unfortunately the digital promo isn't available on the Canadian store. At $129.99 CAD before taxes, the ultimate version of FH3 is going to be the most expensive digital copy of a video game I've ever purchased. :P
