Please don't anyone blame Munn. 1) she's the best, 2) it's pretty obvious SF is just in a new golden age and FMT's boy Jeddy was right

Ok I'm gonna talk about Eagles not named Wentz, because there was some really encouraging stuff.

Trey Burton: Underutilized in Chip's offense, he was a big story of the offseason with his catches. But I was worried it was just all hype. However, he was pretty impressive at Chicago. 5 for 49 and 1TD isn't eye-popping, but for his first real NFL action he played well and caught everything thrown his way.

Nelson Agholor: He's not a powerhouse or anything, but he's starting to play like an actual receiver now. I'm not going to blame his three drops on him. The first one was clear DPI, the second one Wentz underthrew an easy TD, and the third one was the fade that never should have gone to him in the first place. But he made some nice plays and is already at almost half of his total receiving yards last year. Yeah, that means he was shit last year, but it's nice to see him develop a bit.

Jordan Matthews: Aside from that one really bad TD drop, JMatt had a solid game. He's not a #1 receiver, but he's been looking improved these past 2 games from a year ago.

Ryan Mathews: Didn't do a lot, but wanted to mention him avoiding the tackle and recovering to make that TD happen.

The entire Eagles D, but Brandon Graham: Graham was a force out there, 4 tackles and a sack. Caused a ton of havoc and seemed to be around the ball a lot. Everyone was hyped up for Cox and Curry, but BG has been the quiet star on that DL so far.

Jalen Mills: Special shoutout to the rookie. He got roasted by Jeffery on that one play and missed some open tackles, but was really quick to diagnose where plays were going and come up to make the tackle. Definitely a rookie CB, but he did well.

It really was nice seeing the Eagles mixing in some no huddle hurry up stuff. The one nice thing about Doug not having an ego is he is willing to use some of the stuff that Chip brought to town and clearly works at the NFL level. A lot of coaches would throw out everything that the former coach did.

Oh that is interesting. There is always spin with this stuff but it also seems like there is a lot of smoke forming. I do wonder if Wentz has a really good year if we will see a CYA situation where everyone tries to point the finger at someone else with the Browns.
Honestly I don't look at it as if Wentz has a good year Browns were wrong like everybody is making it out to me. Yeah Wentz can be good, but won't pretend like he was a sure a bet. He had like 600 passes his whole college career , and had/has injury concerns at the moment. Goff threw 600 in just a season. Browns had the choice of Wentz or grab some more picks and fill out a barren team. Atleast for now many of the Browns rookies are displaying something. It's possible both sides made a good trade. It's possible Browns can go out and find their Qb in this upcoming draft while having extra assets. I'm not mad about the Wentz trade now and won't be unless in a few years he's all pro and Browns are still fiddleing with the Qb. I feel like ppl are trying to make this some kind of war against the Browns for passing, but only time will tell. Hell I could be mad in the future, yeah Wentz looks promising but not gonna pretend like he's a Hofer right now

Yeah Depo probably didn't need to make that comment, But that was a rookie mistake on him.

Is it really possible that a guy could rise to the point of having a national show, or several in Florio's case, and not have a single source with any team? I would think he must know something to have the jobs that he does but maybe not.
Ohh he def has sources, but for me just hate how irresponsible he is with it. He'll take a actual tidbit , insert his own opinion or jump of logic and make it a story. He's pretty much grossi on a higher level To me.

Doug is doing what I hoped Chip would eventually do with the no huddle. One of the advantages of the no huddle is trapping the D in a personnel grouping that you want, and having plenty of time at the line to adjust protections and audibles to get advantageous matchups. Notice that even though that first drive was all no huddle, most of the time the clock was in the single digits before the ball was snapped. That no huddle drive took 7 minutes off the clock.

Wentz' eventual career aside it's been kinda shitty seeing the Browns getting shit on for Wentz. Even if he pans out, it wouldn't have necessarily been the same on the Browns. That team was devoid of talent, and even though our OL isn't great, it's at least a little better. He may have done great on the Browns, but that team isn't ready for a franchise QB yet, I think like half of the roster have less than 2 years NFL experience. It was a smart move to stockpile picks. Hopefully all the rookies on your team develop this year, and next year a franchise QB will have a gentler transition. Plus, Wentz has only had two games against two of the worst teams in the league (sorry), let's not anoint him yet.

I second BG that Florio is the worst.

He is the perfect journalist for the internet era (meaning he is absolute garbage, but that is what the people want).

Changing gears BG you better get Ohio on lock for this election. PA is looking pretty solid for Clinton but you assholes are starting to get shaky and Trump is gaining. Control your people. Get them under control.

If he loses OH and PA it is over. If Trump loses I am going to take the next day off and drive around and urinate on the lawn of any racists who have Trump signs on their lawn.

Whatever happens blame Floy. I don't care that he doesn't actually live in Ohio.

Texans, Patriots and Panthers have run 69 times, more than any teams in the league.

Balanced offenses, I guess.

Pretty much. Weird how suddenly everyone always knew Wentz would be great. Let's wait to see if we fuck our QB pick next year before we immediately throw everyone under the bus because a guy we didn't draft is playing well, especially since the player we did pick in the first round is off to a promising start.

This is the other thing. In this very community people spent the entire offseason laughing at the Eagles for their QB situation, and then laughing at them when they traded Bradford and started Wentz. A lot of people going into this season thought they would be one of the worst teams in the league, and at the very least in the very bottom of the NFCEast, maybe 4-5 wins, including me. I distinctly remember several fans of other NFCEast teams here going through their projections for the division in the offseason, and just going 'lol eagles'. The season has just started so Wentz could regress, but it's crazy to see everyone suddenly mocking and ridiculing the Browns and acting like it was obvious Wentz was this surefire thing.

Trump actually compared himself to Tom Brady recently when asked about his health.

The Pats are the worst.

Somehow your team is even worse than Floyd.

Think about that.

I said Floyd.

And when he compared himself to Brady, Trump called Tom his friend.

Brady confirmed to be a dirty cheating Trumpster fire.

Got a raise!

Moore booze money!

And by booze money, I really mean booze money...for the dude they pay to process the checks I have to write Sallie Mae for financing my education :( Thanks Obama

Everyone compares themselves to Tom, it's normal to want to be the best.

Oh boy do I have the house for you...

My roommate wants to get into football now there is a team in LA, but he doesn't understand it.

Is there a good primer I can give to him? I've tried explaining it to him, but everything I've learned I've learned from being surrounded by football my entire life.

Saw the clip on twitter of McCown looking beat to shit after the Ravens game.

As much as I have ripped McCown over the past I feel for the guy. You can tell he puts everything he has on the line and into trying to be the best he can be. Unfortunately he is just not very talented.

Hmm... watch it with him and explain as it goes along?

I've been on the Wentz train. My post history would back it up, of course I'm living in Minnesota and NDSU has a presence here though.

So how about that Stefon Diggs huh? Weird that two teams have forgotten you can jam him at the line and completely shut him down.

The best way to explain it is to watch it with him and explain things. It's absolutely impossible to describe without watching it. Here is Bill Burr, a comedian, NFL maniac, trying to explain football to an australian listener. And as you can see, it's almost impossible.

Teams are afraid to jam him because if they miss they know that slinging Sammy B will drop the ball in there perfectly for a long TD. Teams cant afford to take chances now that the Vikings have a big time QB.

Picking on the Browns is a thing and people do things. Literally no matter what they do unless they win every game it's "lol Browns." I actually liked Wentz way before the draft but the Browns made the right call, for several reasons. Not only are the picks looking good so far and not only did the Browns get a 1st next year, Wentz would have been on the IR right now had the Browns drafted him. And then what would people say? "lol Browns drafted another bum."

So whatever. I'm actually looking forward to Kessler playing. It's too soon but I liked his game at USC and he's good at distributing the ball to his playmakers, and the Browns have a few. Don't think he's the one or anything but I think he'll be solid.

Just watched this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MGc_y3SYFE

I'm sold on Wentz. Sometimes you can just tell a guy is going to be a solid NFL QB and he's one of them. Love his size, pocket presence, arm strength, accuracy, decision making, etc. Eagles fans should be very happy.

But what about this http://www.nfl.com/videos/miami-dolphins/0ap3000000704926/Ryan-Tannehill-Every-throw-from-Week-2

He had a really good game, even in the first half he was making good decisions and good throws...everyone else kept fucking it up though.

Chris are you making the new thread? Did anything get decided? Also, will it be in Community?

No sorry friend I can't, no time.

So the Steelers never beat the Eagles in the Vet, and so far have not beaten in the Link either. Crazy that it has been like 50 years since they won in Philly. I fully expect that streak to end this week, no way can the Eagles terrible CB's keep up with the Steelers weapons, I just hope Wentz can continue to look good.

If Wentz keeps taking hits like he did yesterday, he won't last long in the league and the narrative will shift to how the Browns lucked out not taking another injury-prone QB.
