There was a diablo like game made by Eidos that I saw advertisements for in the 90's in PC Gaming magazines
It was a warrior coming back from the dead and what not and the name started with an R.
I legit cannot think of it.
Revenant?

I'm trying to think of the name of a game which simulates 'playing' as a wild animal. I'm not sure how many different types, but I think you could play as more then only one single species. I think foxes and wolves were an option. It's a series, that's to say, I think there was at least one sequel to the original game.
I think it had heavy emphasis on finding food, raising cubs, stay out of harms way, avoid predators, etc. Also a very distinct look: not photorealistic, but more a bit low-poly, with subdued colors. Semi recent stuff too, not older then 5-7 years.
Tokyo Jungle?
I cant figure out a pac man game I used to play on PC. Im not sure if it was an official Pac man or a rip off. It was windows 95 I think or maybe sony vaio. I think each level had a theme like first level had bushes and stuff im not exactly sure. My memory is hazy. Thanks!
Out of the hundreds you got it on the first try lol seriously thank you. Ive been looking for this game for quite awhile. There's probably hundreds, but maybe CD Man ?
My memory is hazy on this one but here's what I remember - it may not be especially accurate:
PS1 game
Third Person perspective (I think)
Shooter
3d perspective from behind the player and the game scrolled towards you, kind of like a racer does.
You play a soldier - a bit Duke Nukem like in appearance perhaps.
Game was shitty.
I'm thinking it was released late 95 or early 96 in the UK.
I am hoping this is a semi-accurate description but it's been twenty years.
Yes! Thanks! This is the last shitty game that I ever bought. I vowed never to buy on impulse again after purchasing this turd.
I've been trying to remember the name of a game for a long time, and this thread brought it back again and seems like the perfect place to ask the question.
I don't remember whether it was windows or dos, but I want to say I had a cable modem, so probably Windows (as it was a download game) and circa 1996-98.
It was a top down, not isometric, sort of 3d ARPG (well, as much as it could have been back then). I think you downloaded the compiled source code from some GeoCities website. You could pick up dropped weapons in either arm, guns, spells, wands, etc.. Some of the "campains" were special like a rogue with two daggers... I think there was even one where you were a Knight/Paladin. It was LAN multiplayer as I recall playing with some old friends, but it may have even been just one keyboard 2 players. If i recall correctly there wasn't even a splash screen or anything, you launched the .exe and you were there, might have had a console. There were puzzles and crap, it was actually good times. Shareware / Freeware era for sure. Doing some basic googling it looks similar to a freeware game called Kong in graphics, almost as if it was the same engine but I don't remember any HUD whatsoever at all.
It's difficult to explain lol, I hope i've done enough that someone else might remember...get this one out of my head please![]()
Technomage? Very unlikely though.I think I have too little information on my game.
It looked kind of like diablo, but was a little more for children (I guess).
I always thought I remembered the Westwood Logo, but from the wiki page I didn't find any matching game.
I remember walking amongst some houses and a pumpkin garden. Yup. That's it.
edit: Oh and definitely 90/early 2000.

Ohhh and another one:
Pretty straight forward.
A kind of board game for the PC where you "race" around the world with your car, to different cities etc. in a world Map view, kinda cartoonish, turn based
It didn't come out until 2005, but Fate is what came to mind first.

sadly nope.
Do you remember anything at all about the game play? I know you say it looks like diablo, but is it an action/adventure game too?
Mixed Up Mother Goose had a 1996 re-release I think, but I don't really think it "looks like diablo".

Sadly I don't remember muchBut it was definitely more top down like diablo
My last guess, but since you said it wasn't a Westwood game I doubt this is it.
Young Merlin
Holy Crap you're good.
That's the one. No idea how I missed that on the Westwood Wiki page. Thanks a lot!!
I'd argue it is more like Zelda than Diablo, but glad it could be solved.
Well, I don't know if it's any help, but that's ringing a bell for me, too.
Edit: Egoboo's the one I was thinking of. It's a year later than you're saying, but might still be within the same bracket.
Another game I can remember is was sorta like a AR game (Eons before Pokemon Go and Smartphones) It was very ambitious, I remember reading and hearing about it.
I wanna say it was called Majesty but I may be wrong. You would get calls from the game itself (I swear to god I'm not making this up) The game was about kidnapping and conspiracy and what not. Drives me nuts I hadn't heard anything about it. It was very ambitious.
There was this RTS strategy game called "_____ Kingdom" or something. There would be all these civilizations and then there was this monster civilizations that were also magical. It was all dark and grimy and I can never remember it.
Afraid notThe Lost Mind of Dr. Brain?
Boat racing game on the NES, I think the camera was a little behind the boat. There were jumps etc for the boat to go on.
Cobra Triangle?

A game similar to the one I'm thinking of was mentioned above, but it's not the game.
I played a PC game YEARS ago, I wanna say late 90s/early 2000s, where you played as a wizard kid who dressed in blue gowns and it was a top down game. The only thing I remember about it is that there were like 5 or 6 zones and in each zone you could find a piece of a golden staff. In the last zone you would find the final piece and you would create the staff.
Can't remember for the life of me what it was called though. Been wanting to remember for years.

Ok this one is going to be tough, mainly because my memory of the game is very foggy and some details may be inaccurate. Regardless, I'm hoping the Gaf Gods can come to my aid:
It's a Gameboy game. My only distinct memory of the gameplay is walking between buildings or small huts which each contained a puzzle. I never got very far, but if I recall correctly, the puzzles were mainly shape-based (like rearranging blocks).
The best hint I can give is the game's art on the cartridge. I'm pretty sure it has a mainly orange background with a man in the foreground (maybe wearing white)?
I understand this description is utter shit, but I was like 6 or 7 when I played this game and that's all I can remember. If someone can track this game down, I will be amazed and forever grateful!
Holy shit, that's it! That was so fast, you're the best, thanks a lot!Daedalian Opus (screenshots)
Possibly Witchaven or its sequel.
I remember playing a top-down shooter on Sega Genesis. Is was about WW2 I guess. The graphics were colorful, you shoot nazi and can kick chickens, lol. Tha'ts what I remember so far. Curious to find out a name of this game if anyone know.

Caliber .50 featured some human-chicken interactivity.
Need an assist GAF.
I never played this JRPG but I have some memories of the intro and it's been nagging me for more than ten years because I'm really curious as to what it was. Some stuff I recall
- it was definitely either 5th or 6th gen
- the protagonist seemed to be this roguish type who had sorta spiky/fluffy blonde hair and wore a sleeveless red/blue shirt. Basically like slimmer Cloud Strife
- The intro was in anime form, complete with a sorta Jpop song. It also ended with the protag sitting a top of a hill/peak back to back with a girl in the sunset.
Hope somebody knows what I'm talking about
