Breath of the Wild is the official subtitle for Zelda U/NX, first gameplay trailer

If the poster wanted the other Wii U games surely they'd have bought one already. Just wait until the NX reveal and make a decision.

I'm trying to decide whether to buy an NX or a Wii U. Guess I'll wait to see what the NX is, first.

Should I buy NX just for BotW? Twice as good graphics (based on rumors). Or should I buy a Wii U to play the two HD Zeldas and Mario Kart, maybe Bayonetta, too? I dunno.

p.s. Maybe both.

I think your second sentence is correct.

:D It's not like everyone knows choo choo hates everything, especially a certain game releasing next week. :P

Why are you getting personal about videogames? I just gave him an advice, nothing more. Its up to him to decide.

And I don't hate Color Splash. Do you even read my posts? I said it got brilliant humor and good writing, but I don't want to buy it because of the lame story and lack of original characters.

Also, its almost certain that most of the Wii U games will get a NX port, because there are many 3DS ports.

Yes but objectivly rumors point to no BC for NX And few ports of the many wiiu exclusive gsmes and nothing assures that NX will have many more exclusive good games than wiiu now so...

I second the suggestion of waiting for more NX info and a wiiu price cut

How many 3DS ports are there? I can think of one Wii U -> 3DS port that was just announced recently. (edit: one and a half, if you include Ultimate NES Remix which is not a straight port | edit 2: forgot about Mario Maker. so 2.5 ports!). Then there are exactly two Wii -> 3DS ports.

How is that "many?"

I didn't read anything form you on Color Splash explicitly, I just vividly remember the threads/posts about Paper Mario in general before Color Splash got announced. Painting with broad strokes here, I know. :)

What ever you do, don't buy a Wii U. NX will very likely get a lot of really amazing games including BotW, so buying a Wii U is a waste of money.

While WiiU is a console for hardcore fanboys only, it's not like Nintendo has recently given any indications that NX is going to be any better (critical flops and fan-spiting projects being released by Nintendo one after another for several years now). So maybe getting some used WiiU for Zelda is going to end up being the better deal after all.

I went back and saw the first trailer again. It's probably one of my favourite trailers ever made. They nailed the feel, the vibes and the music is beautiful.

So in for NX.

At the #Zelda30 concert, Miyamoto, Aonuma, Kondo, and Tezuka appeared. Aonuma joked that Link's outfit in BOTW is blue due to the WW outfit.

Rather, the color blue in Breath of the Wild carries a special meaning that Aonuma wasn't yet ready to divulge. #Zelda30

This is so after Wind Waker.

There are only a handful. Its better to wait until a better NX version on a cheaper price releases.

this is a bet at this point.

Me for example, I want to play Pikmin 3, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Zelda.

Only those, I don't care for anything else to the point that I'd spend money to play them.

will I somehow be able to play those games on NX??

I think it's likely because Nintendo will very likely want to make money on those games, considering they have been available only to a very small userbase on WiiU.

but who knows at this point...

The only one thats guaranteed is Zelda.

NX has a future, Wii U doesn't. NX is also guaranteed to be more powerful, more versatile and possibly cheaper.

I mean, maybe they'll re-release them if it's cost-effective but this argument doesn't really hold.

They already tried to make money on them. They were made to encourage people to buy the system to play them on. Presumably, most of the people who really wanted to play them bought the Wii U... to play them.

The only port that's been announced for NX is Breath of the Wild, while Super Smash Bros., Super Mario Maker and Splatoon have been strongly rumored. If you really want anything else on Wii U (Bayo 2, Tropical Freeze, 3D World, Xenoblade X, TMS#FE, Pikmin 3, TWW/TP HD, Pokken, W101, Color Splash, MK8, etc) then you should probably just bite the bullet and pick up a Wii U while you still can.

NX will not be cheaper than a Wii U what the hell lol
It's a possibility it comes in under $299.99. Wii U isn't dropping and supply is drying up soon.

But what if it's a new timeline? Fallen hero of wind timeline.

no more split timelines pls xO

What if you want to play some of the amazing Wii U games?

Yeah, that's my problem. I want to play the two Zeldas and Mario Kart and Bayonetta.

I'm hoping NX has b.c. with Wii U titles like those.

p.s. Sorry for triple post. I'll learn to multiquote one of these days.

I guess you are basing this on the NX launch month. Zelda is not a confirmed launch title, so maybe.
I thought it was the other way 'round, that it was confirmed launch title, but no launch date.

Just because the WiiU version is releasing in March doesn't mean the NX version will release at the same time.
