Hrmm, I am tempted by Ultimate NES Remix, and I appreciate the fact it's a decent coupon paid for by platinum coins. I just don't know if I want to double dip when I own the superior versions on Wii U. I do want to support the possible of a Super NES remix, though

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that a pretty terrible game? I think they looked at my previous account activity and noticed that I only purchase good games, subsequently they decided not to give me that particular offer. If you bought a lot of crap, they probably thought "oh, he seems to love bad games, let's give him this".

Ultimate is the superior version, though.
The selection is excellent and the portability is perfect for this game. Played most of it on the train despite having owned the Wii U versions long before.loooool

I mean, I got Sticker Star without spending any coins in Club Nintendo. A 15% off coupon compared to that is a joke. So far, MyNintendo has been completely inferior to CN for me.

There's no way to convert gold coins to silver or use gold coins in place of silver, right? Would like to grab that New Remix discount but it's gonna be a grind if I have to use silver coins.
If you don't want that, you could just get the retail version which would come at a similar price.

Oh, I'm not sliding down that slope! First I buy a physical cartridge, then I buy a few, then I buy a fanny pack to carry them all in, then I budget for a psychiatrist to help work through the shame of wearing a fanny pack. No thanks.

I picked up Twilight Princess Picross a while back because I didn't have anything else to spend my points on. It's my first Picross game and I have to say I found it surprisingly fun.
It would be nice if they had some other rewards that weren't coupons, but I can see from this thread that I'm not alone in that sentiment.

I'd say I can't believe that they removed pilotwings without replacing it, but then I'd be lying. My only question is how they can continue on the "How can we make this service even worse with this update?" path.
I guess they're going to have to settle for just not adding any replacement coupons to the store next time, leaving only miitomo garbage and themes, then get rid of the themes, then change the miitomo items to gold coins instead of silver, then scrap everything and just not let us spend the coins at all.
If you're interested in more picross, there are plenty of picross eshop games. Pokemon picross is Free to play, but with deep restrictions on how much you can play a day without spending to unlock further areas (or abusing a glitch that lets you get the daily microtransation currency more than once a day), and there are the six picross e games, which while not Nintendo themed, cost far less (*per game) than pokemon picross does to get everything.

I can get behind this! I'd much rather spend a far larger amount of Platinum coins than a small amount of Gold coins. I got so many Platinum coins I don't know what to spend them on.
Hope we get even better coupons soon enough. Like say 50-60% off with Gold coins. Or I think someone suggested... just let us pick our own discounts!
I think it's safe to say MyNintendo must be a failure in Nintendo's eyes because there is zero effort involved at this point. They aren't even trying.

It could be super-hard to license all those Nintendo-themed Miitomo items.
They must because now Im lazy enough to not even get the weekly coins and you only need like 3 minutes to get them all
If they expect to sell the NX to the masses it would help if they had a worthwhile rewards system. They could at least offer VC rewards and DLC rewards for the new games for starters.
At first I thought "Wtf, that would still make it 20 Euros more expensive than the retail verion". Then I realised you were joking.

It's not "safe to say" at all. How would it? It's safer to say this is all in a waiting state until they can more deeply integrate it into the new platforms. Sure they could give out more and cooler digital rewards but how does that mean it's a failure after just half a year? Don't be silly.
More than just "half a year", it's more just after "only one game" to me. We'll see after Mario Run and things...
They won't achieve their 100M milestone without NX and way more mobile games though.

It only just occurred to me that this is the first time we've had a 30% off with platinum points coupon in NA. I hope we see more of these, as I definitely don't feel like spending gold coins on those discounts knowing a sale will probably happen eventually, and 15% discounts are so small it's unlikely they'd ever be the deciding factor in making me want to buy a game.

If we can't have more freebies, 30% off with Platinum coins is great. I could support a regular practice of that, feels like a good and meaningful reason for Platinum coins to exist
I was thinking for NA... its still $39.99 for the digital version. I could get it much cheaper in retail in NA but I just like having this stuff on digital now.
