Pokémon Sun & Moon | Info and speculation thread

Megas confirmed. Ash-Greninja confirmed (bleh).

Also clearly this is a spiritual successor to B/W and B/W2, the new features they showed were basically revamped versions of Join Avenue and the Dream World. I'm excited!

Dartrix is clearly going down a princely line. Seems like quite a leap to go from that form to the archer form we've seen.

Brionne is adorable. Popplio continues to be the best Alolan Starter.

They are actually calling it Ash-Greninja? What the Fuck?

I guess I won't be playing through the demo if all it does is give you that piece of shit.

Yeah. I feel the same way about Torracat too.

Ash-Greninja confirmed: I am projectile vomiting right now. Not touching the demo now.

Brionne looks awesome as fuck. Popplio line stay winning.

The cat punch that this Pokémon can dish out with its strong forelegs is extremely powerful. It can bend iron bars and knock out large men with a single blow!

Damn it. Another fucking Fire/Fighting.

So what's the official name for Ash Greninja?
It's not actually Ash Greninja, is it?
Having a Pokemon mega evolve into having an anime character's facial features is weird enough

The farm island looks cool. Maybe I'll actually end up actively planting berries for once.

Finally, I can deposit Pokémon into the box and not feel as evil as sin. This video's also reminded me of something Game Freak's great add, introducing amazing (looking at least, for now) features that you never thought you wanted.

leaked evos confirmed im actually screaming madly

How are they confirmed? I guess the water starter is leading to it, but the fire starter would need to evolve its head back closer to first form in order to fit that final form design we've seen in the leaks. Those leaks probably were real at the time, but not the finished designs.

At least in the video, it was still Ash Greninja (well, his Japanese name).

Brionne: Pop Star Pokémon

Brionne learns its dances by imitating the other members of its colony. It sometimes even learns dances from humans. This Pokémon is a hard worker and pours itself into its efforts until it has memorized each dance. As it dances, Brionne creates balloon after balloon. In battle, it first sends its opponent into disarray with its dancing, and then slaps its balloons into its target, causing the balloons to explode and deal damage.

Brionne can dance in perfect time with others, even if they have only just met. On moonlit nights, you can sometimes see throngs of Brionne dancing as one, in perfect fluidity.

Brionne always acts cheery and positive. Even when it’s feeling sad, this Pokémon doesn’t allow its sorrow to show. It’s said that Brionne will only reveal a sad expression to a Pokémon or Trainer to whom it has opened its heart completely.
I FREAKING LOVE IT

Haha, Rowlett's evo actually sort of falls in line with a bit of speculating I did a while ago, when reading Rowlett's description.

I thought that, because of the leaf "daggers" Rowlett had hidden under its wings, combined with the bowtie, I imagined him evolving into the Pokemon version of Jacob from Fire Emblem Fates:

Joker.(Fire.Emblem).full.1913299.jpg

Basically a sort of fancy Butler "Assassin". A fancy high class sort of guy, that also happens to have knives hidden up his sleeves :P

And before anyone says anything, I know that the Archer Rowlett evo is still more than likely the actual evo, I just thought it funny that the middle evo looked like it was going towards what I had imagined haha

the bell thing Torracat has is the same belt buckle design Masked Tiger has

Each of the starter evos gained something that's only present in the final evo, it's not hard to see.

Its description says it's broody and angsty, seems to work fine with the edgy rogue evolution

Unless that rumor about split starter evolutions is correct

Revealing a certain snobbiness in its personality, Dartrix cares a great deal about its appearance, grooming its feathers in every spare moment. In truth, it’s also a bit of a birdbrain, with a tendency to bungle things up. Once it makes a mistake, it sometimes gets into a desperate struggle to gloss over the situation and ends up making a bigger mess than ever.

Sounds stereotypically princely to me. Like a comic foil Disney prince.

We've had starters gain back characteristics they lost upon evolution i.e. Totodile->Croconaw->Feraligatr with the yellowish V, so I don't see what would be so unusual about that leaked evolution being possible.

Also: I might be reading too much into this, but given that Rowlet's demonstrated it can use it feathers as projectiles and its evolution's name is clearly referencing darts, it doesn't seem unfathomable to have a final evolution who can shoot arrows.
