For day 13 I drew the Dartmoot Beast from England. Read a loose description and came up with the lion/boar mix.

Day 8
Day 9
I'm several days behind, I blame the office and the ensuing exhaustion. More so though, there's fact that I can't reach a balance. Today I planned on drawing something that wouldn't take much effort but that would still look good, so I could go to sleep early for a change. Well, when I actually set out to do it, it didn't seem challenging enough. It seemed like I was taking steps back in comparison with the previous days. So I ended up brainstorming how to enhance the idea, eventually settled on something else...but by then it was too late to flesh it out properly. Ugh. How do you guys handle this? Bear in mind I'm deeeeeeefinitely not a natural born artist, it takes me a lot to finish up the drawings posted in the thread so far (nothing is traced over albeit I do base myself off existing images for the most part).

I tried doing this with a hunt 102 nib because i like trying out nibs again from time to time, they still werent jiving with me. Re-did it using my lightbox with a brush pen, turned out much more better. Though there is some technical pen stuff in there.
Olympia: that last one has a kim jung ji thing going on with the red background, nice.
This bad boy took me two days to do since I've never blocked inked before so it was a fun lesson. It's easily the most challenging art piece I've done considering that I don't have any white out pens to color in the shapes.

ran into a block but finally punched through with some stuff :> i tried a few themes but didn't get anything feeling inky enough so most remained in pencil sketches. there was one i inked but the rest of that series wasn't working for me .___.

everyone's been so fab *___* servbot's series grips me daily and skwerl's stuffs are so lovely and my name is ed's clean inking makes me squeee with delight (your sephiroth gives me such a throwback feels, yooo <3) and olympia's kickin butts as usual <3 and meliora's piccas so prettyful *___* i can go on and on~ but yes, everyone's really doing so well <3 keep it up, y'all!

Fell behind by a day since I was a groomsman at an Indian wedding and those things go alllll day so I didn't get a chance to do anything on saturday. I'll make up for it.
I inked this sketch with some fudegokochi pens. I really like the way they handle but I'll need a lot more practice to get the hang of them. They're pretty cheap too.

For day 17, I did my interpretation of the Flatwoods Monster from West Virginia.
This makes me really sad that most brazilian monsters are "green dude with head on fire and inverted feet", "black dude with one leg that controls wind", "a horse version of the ghost rider" and stuffs like that ... they all look pretty ... normal =P
Hell there is one that is basically a river dolphin that turns into a handsome dude to either drag women to the river or .... create fatherless babies
The worst thing that we have is an witch that is mostly famously drawn in children books as a witch alligator ....that looks more like if that Wood Woodpecker villain went drag queen =P
We don't have the "straight out of mib cartoon" monsters you are drawing =/

Haha, I would love to do my take on one from Brazil if you can recommend me one you would like to see.
I took a lot of liberties with the design for this latest one. This might make you feel better about Brazilian monsters.
