And what, half the RAM? And how much less workable storage space for assets? Well I guess if cost isn't an issue they can get a cart with Bluray level storage but not being able to uncompress compressed assets onto local storage will hurt it. I can't see it being on par with the PS4 and XB1. Not that their CPUs are powerhouses or anything it's just probably not going to be as well rounded. On the other hand using carts does have advantages too.
Still the more I think about this I may be in. I've always liked handheld games but I hate playing on handhelds. I've always wanted to just not have to bother with the handheld and play them on my TV. And yes, I know the 3DS's resolution was ass and it look like crap, I grew up with the Atari and NES, I can manage! I wanted the next Nintendo console to really outclass the Wii U and I don't think this will, let alone match the PS4 and XB1. That said, thinking about it more I may be ok with that. Honestly the Nintendo consoles have only been worth it for a handful of games and that's it and I'd rarely say they're outright graphical powerhouses wherw as the bulk of good games on Nintendo's systems are on their handheld, which this definitely bests. So those 5 or 6 games I would have bought on the next Nintendo console may not be significantly better than if they had been made for the Wii U but the handheld games will look a lot better and that's what most of the games I'd buy would be. And only needing the one system instead of having to buy two, I get the argument for people with kids but for me it'd work to my benefit just having to buy the one system.
