He told the largely white audience that “massive numbers” of black Americans have been ignored and left behind, and he blamed Democrats and Clinton for the “crippling crime and total violence” in the nation’s inner cities.

Trump was speaking in a city that was rocked by protests last month after police killed an unarmed black man. In his speech, he accused Clinton of waging a “war on police” that he said puts black lives at risk, and he called for police and residents to work together.

The GOP nominee pledged to remove gang members from inner cities and continued to falsely assert that the national murder rate is the highest it has been in 45 years.

“Some of our inner cities are more dangerous than the war zones we’re reading about and seeing about every night,” Trump said.

The real estate mogul said he wants to allow cities and states to declare disaster areas in blighted communities and give microloans to black entrepreneurs to help spur jobs. He championed school choice, which he called the “great civil rights issue of our time,” and increased funding for historically black colleges and universities.

Like another poster previously mentioned, this isn't for the black denomination but for every diet conservative who wants the advantages of racism without the stigmas.

When he starts on that "law and order" crap it comes across like he plans on flooding the "inner cities" with a bunch of cops with itchy trigger fingers that will "get the bad guys" aka anyone that fits the description.

His willful ignorance is flat out frightening.

As someone that's worked in low income neighborhoods to redevelope them calling them disaster zones would be insane thing to do.
Plus inner city fear should be gone by now come white suburbs people

No, they aren't as crime is down.......

Microloans are a great start but the rest of his response is bullshit and his base won't go for it. The lost capital from unarmed police killings of black people cancels out whatever long-term benefit comes from micro loans when you factor in mental health effects on current youth. I need more than "micro loans but black on black crime is a problem".
 
I love how he has to blame this vague inner-city shit on Clinton because even Trump is not crazy enough to bring Obama into a discussion about race.
 
These pivots are always so awful-Trump's incapable of not making black neighborhoods and communities sound like savaged urban hellscapes. You can almost hear his repitilian brain load his limited vocabulary set for talking about the inner cities before he opens his mouth.

His message is clear-vote for me rural and exurbanties, because if you don't the blacks and hippies are going to get all the money and in four years the destruction of your non-cosmopolitan way of life-and your own complete humiliation-will be complete.
 
I hate the way this dude talks about "blacks in inner cities" like it's still the 1970s when the Bronx looked like a war zone. Does he think black people can only live in housing projects? If anything gentrification has become a bigger harm to people living in cities and poverty has started to move into suburbia out of cities as people are getting priced out.

That's probably a truthful comment from him. He seeks every opportunity to take advantage of people. If you thought pay day loans, title loans and every other loan shark was bad wait till you get a load of Trump Loans.
 
The other day on CNN Corey Lewandowski was claiming that Trump was up to 15-20% support among African Americans in certain states (PN and OH I think). Is there truth to this?
 
I'm sure Breitbart will focus on the 2% black people in the crowd, and how he won over every African American in the U.S. with his clearly racially unbiased arguments.
