PS4 Pro boxes getting prepped

Nice to see they have all the games supported on the back of the box.

So I have a ps4 with a 2 TB samsung spinpoint in it the slim 9.5 mm one that fits.

Is it worth transferring and using this in the pro, would this model take advantage of the Sata 3 speed ?

Is the pro connection physically the same as the Ps4 one just faster ?

What would be a faster 2 TB or larger drive that would fit a pro ?
 
Weird how this is still up for preorder on Amazon. Figured it would have been sold out of the first shipments after a day or worst case a week. How many of these are they making for the holiday? Couple million?

I don't know about how many they made but I know my local gamestop filled 10% of their allotment for pre orders (They were told by the company on the 1st day of pre order availability they could take 30 total preorders and not to ask for more) and they have 3 as of Friday afternoon.
 
Wow, so my launch PS4 just died moments ago. I was on the dashboard, downloading some DLC for DOAX3 and it just shut off and won't come back on. :(

I unplugged, going to give it some time. But it looks like it's dead.
I may try to re-paste it, doubt that will help.

Just my luck. I was getting ready to trade it in this week too. :(
 
Rather then getting a 4k TV and a pro I think i'll be getting one of those Acer Predator 144hz monitors and a 1080ti when it's released.

Cost-wise It should be around the same price range if you were to get a nice 4k tv.
 
Since I wound up not being able to make my 4K/HDR upgrade this fall, (stupid car repairs) I'm going to do a big write up with screens about how much of an improvement the Pro is on a 1080p set. Plan on comparing a lot of games. Should be fun to put together.

When you add a new hard drive you have to use the firmware process because it needs to install some things onto the hard drive itself - not all of the OS is onboard the console itself. So yeah, each time you need to have a firmware file at the ready.

With the Pro I'm guessing they have their own firmware file to include the 4K console assets and whatnot, but I haven't seen that confirmed either way. In any case you'll need some kind of firmware file to install the new drive.

Sounds good. Cerny talked about eliminating background jaggies/shimmering and im hoping that you dont need a 4k set to make that happen. I guess we will see.

Yikes. I'm chalking this up to poor PR from Sony. Outside of GAF and other game centric media outlets there is no buzz about this.

Hoping and wating for some unbox and review this week, leaked or eary delivery XD.

I only care about 1080p improvement, don`t have money for 4k and HDR TV =/

Did the launch PS4 even sell out? This isn't a new generation so I would not expect a rush like that. November sales will be VERY good though.

Yes. Within a day or two on Amazon. Xbox took a few months but it too sold out. I remember mashing F5 a few minutes after the full reveal. PSVR sold out real quick too.

I'm sure this will sell well this holiday season, I just expected either lower production numbers from Sony or higher sales through end-users. The fact this is still available all over is strange, maybe telling of the mid gen refresh.

I pre-ordered mine launch PS4 from Amazon the moment it was available so I didn't have to deal with that.
 
At 100% increase, this will probably be the biggest leap in console performance we see for quite some time. It's the end of an age.

Pretty glad it's under the radar I was on the fence about preordering from Amazon until I saw the box pics. My wallet am cry.
