I have the 55 inch version. Its a fantastic TV. Its not full HDR with a wide color gamut but its still awesome in HDR. Blacks are fantastic, way better than an IPS panel, input lag in gaming mode with HDR is great too. Its the top pick for budget 4k tv on rtings.

The 8000 would be nice, but yea in Canada here its twice the price, not worth it in my opinion.
Input lag is just as good as the 8000 if not better in some cases. HDR gaming is less than a millisecond different.

I actually managed to place an order!
On perksatwork, type in "samsung" in the search bar, you will see Store - Samsung
click on that and then you will be taken to the samsung store where you will see the KS8000. The site is getting hammered so be patient.
It's just showing the regular price for me on the samsung website
Am I missing a step in between accepting your invite and going to the samsung website?

Oh man the 55" KS8000 is sold out? I'd like to grab an invite from someone to try if possible, maybe more will become available.

You went to the perksatwork.com site right? if so you should be able to search for "samsung" and go to the samsung store from there. You will most certainly not see regular prices if you are doing it correctly.

You can try to do that.
You should see the sales price.
sign in at Perksatwork --> Search for "Samsung" Select "STORES-Samsung" see list of manufactures and choose "Samsung" then click "Shop Now"

did you accept the invite i sent? if so, you should have had to create a password to go along with the email address you provided me. Once you sign in, follow the steps i outlined.
Sounds like you may not have gone through the correct hyperlink.
Start at the perksatwork webpage -> scroll down and look for "Samsung employee pricing store" and click -> there should be a picture that says "4k SUDH TV "enjoy 9 wowpoints" and click -> you will now be re-directed to samsung.com and should be getting employee pricing

Hmm weird.. Sorry guys it might be that my access is a dud. I had two perksatwork accounts, one was given to me by a gaffer and the other i created long time ago. I thought I had the same privleges with both accounts but it seems as though the one i invited you with doesnt get the discounts. Sorry for the confusion. I know Wheatley said he had a few left so please PM him asap

I don't even see how it would be possible outside a loss leader door buster to get the KS8000 cheaper.
Now I have to try and get my parents to switch out their 7 year old 1080p Set for the UN40KU6290 I bought. They refuse to get rid of their MASSIVE entertainment system that they never use for anything so 40" is the max they can fit.

It was already posted in another thread, but the LG B6 OLED after the new fw update is showing 38ms lag in 4K HDR mode according to Rtings.com!
LG OLED B6 or C6 model. C6 is curved and has passive 3D.

Because they're OLED TVs. If you're overly sensitive to input lag, though, Samsung is the way to go. The PQ is not as good, though.
That's not entirely true, though. The input lag on the B6 actually fluctuates and is not stable.

I'm very happy with my 'budget' 50w685 and sometimes more money just gets more toys and not significant increases in performance. Don't give a shit about android tv or smart features or 3D - just want a good screen, good processing, acceptable lag

This was after the latest fw update and it may no longer fluctuate. It used to fluctuate between 38 and 55ms, and they had the input lag listed as 55ms. Now they updated it to 38ms, which implies it's solid at that level.
