Final Fantasy XV Active Time Report set for November 10

Gematsu summary:
Square Enix will host a Japanese Final Fantasy XV Active Time Report, dubbed the “Paris Games Week Report+,” on November 10 at 17:00 JST (12:00 a.m. PT / 3:00 a.m. ET), Square Enix announced.

The live stream will feature a recap of the announcements and updates provided at Paris Games Week in October, as well as “lots of new information and important announcements.”

You’ll be able to watch the Active Time Report live on YouTube.
Before anyone says it, yes this is on the Pro launch date.

"To make sure PS4 Pro players get the best experience, we are delaying the game until February 2017 so we can put the PS4 Pro patch on the disk."

No but seriously, with a PS4 Pro on pre-order, I'm interested what the extra horse power will bring to the table in regards to FFXV.

Wow, people are really thirsty for that Pro info. Though didn't Tabata say that Pro will be the standard 4K and HDR at launch and nothing else? Idk, maybe I'm wrong.

Anyway, I hope we hear more info about that Day 1 patch and how it will improve on the camera and possibly framerate issues surrounding it.

He has never gone into specifics at length. He just said don't expect a fundamental tweaking of the engine. I would guess it will be inline with other games. Maybe they will tweak some stuff. I still think, despite how far this game has come, downsampling will be pretty beneficial. My next wish would be improve clarity on distant objects and fix the hair.

That's one of the very few cases where their style of talking a lot instead of showing things will be a good thing. Youtube will murder IQ anyway, so having the changes detailed will be nice until we can get direct feed content.

Because Pro is the way to go if you want locked 1080p and a maybe completely stable frame rate. If you look at the titanfall 2 pro comparison thread, it already looks to be a great improvement for the minimal effort 1080p improvements. Getting something more would be amazing. I mean, I'm pretty much getting a PS4 again just to play this game. Might as well get the Pro for the best version (and maybe TLG and replay BB if there is a patch).

Pls y didn't they just have a simultaneous PC version? (Well I sort of know why)

There style of talking won't do much either (or nothing at all because I don't expect them to go into technical details). They need to show comparisons like how the PlayStation event did with the Pro reveal on some games

People have seen it and said there's more improvements than that though.

My Pro purchase is already sealed either way, but I'm interested to see how FFXV looks on it.

Downsampling will fix the hair.

Tabata seemed to indicate that they couldn't take advantage of the Pro's specs due to time constraints. I'm expecting the absolute bare minimum here.

Titanfall 2 looks well above minimum 1080p efforts. The resolution is higher than 1080p.

Oh man, up until a few weeks ago i was dead set on buying a Pro day one just for this game, but then the upgrades made to the OG version in October really wowed me and made me think that maybe a Pro wasn't so necessary and that i could have saved some money, but now i fear this ATR will bring me back on the train lol.
I must be strong!

Give in to the temptation. Noctis hair demands no jaggies!

Which is crazy when you think about it, because the game has already gone gold. They still had plenty of time to work on the day 1 patch. Also, how hard can it be to just crank up the resolution to at least 1440p or maybe, you know, put in some work and checkerboard 1800p and be done with it?

I would expect the programmers to show a little more love for the most powerful system at the moment. Seeing their game shine on 4k tv's with HDR should inspire putting some work into it, right?

I wouldn't bother assuming anything until we get a formal announcement.

We know we're getting a Pro version at launch, and that is the only thing that is confirmed at this point.

Seems they're more worried about making sure the game is in tip top shape before pushing for more power(thank the gods). I'd prefer bugs, crashes, tweaks, that camera! To be be fixed before a bump in resolution and whatever else for the pro. Tabata already said they plan to use the power more later anyway

It seems people are very selective in what they read. Tabata said they couldn't make full use of the Pro. There will be a Pro patch at launch which requires a 4K mode. And isn't that the point of day 1+ patches? To continue working after the game has gone gold? Which they are likely doing and have said they are.

Yeah, I also can't believe there isn't a day one PC version.

It's getting 4K and HDR as the bare minimum. People have already seen it in 4K.

Programmers don't decide that. And come on, they're probably desperate to rest a little bit after the clusterfuck that the development of the game was. They probably just want to see the game running.

It's mostly a PGW recap, so expect that minimum.
Well if you want to keep your expectations low which is usually a good thing. Gematsu does say "lots of new information and important announcements". I believe he doesn't care for the Pro version at all anyway.

But I don't really even expect them to show "lots". Even just a screen comparison of the Pro version would be enough for me.
Edit: who is he? Is that me?
And yes, you. Unless I'm mistaken, judging from your previous posts dealing with the Pro, you do not seem too enthused about the system.

I personally don't mind if they showed and talked about Pro version since people who are interested in that system deserve to know more about how the game will run and look on it. I just hope that we get some more info on improvements on base version in that Day 1 patch.

From what Ive gathered the remaining framerate issues are mostly tied to camera movements and they did say they were working on improving camera in that Day 1 patch. So I hope they fix the framerate issues that it's causing as well.

Day 1 for horizon idk what you're talking about and if you were talking about me just say it were big boys I can take it..
