Why? He's right. There is no practical way to ban guns with a country this size with already 300 million plus guns out there. It makes a huge if not impossible hurdle to overcome if ever a gun ban were to even be considered. One of the reasons among many that it's not being considered in a serious manner. Could there be gun restrictions? Sure. But most gun owners like myself favor reasonable gun restrictions.

I don't think it's true. You know, I kinda understand you want a gun when you're in the middle of nowhere an hour away from police response. But there's no denying that the effect of those 300 million guns is anything other than very negative. So 1. Yes it's a nigh insurmountable hurdle, but that still isn't a reason to simply give up. Work on it over time, bring back the number of weapons in circulation gradually. 2. Look at Australia, they had a problem not entirely dissimilar in scope and seem to have pretty much solved it.

i've been begging for over 5 years.
Voted early in Ohio today. Line was at least 100 deep but got in and voted in under 30 minutes.
I went to the same location around the same time of day last year and there was nowhere near the turnout there was today. The only other time I've seen it that full was in 2008 when everyone in my county was voting against the black guy.

Oh I misunderstood. I'm not going to argue with somebody over if banning guns should happen, maybe outside of a personal gun or guns for hunting in rural areas. I think ultimately it should, but that's decades away IMO.
