I don't care and don't have interest in getting involved in a discussion about a closed case.

She was found not guilty, end of.

I'm just voicing my opinion on what I think would happen if it was a regular person, as in not an elite politician. BTW this isn't targeted against her, it could be any other top tier politician.
I see a lot of IT or defense people saying stuff like this but no lawyers. Maybe trust the lawyers on who would be arrested?

Thanks! I'm not really well-versed in the American system.

Someone mentioned a CNN countdown for an exit poll?

There will be some exit polls available for certain states as polls actually start to close. Exit polls have historically not been very accurate at all in American elections, so it's best to ignore them.

Also, not to conspiracy monger, but dropping fake exits on twitter is probably going to be a pretty Key strategy by Trump trolls. Getting people to believe fake exits is how they convince people that the results must be rigged.

Forgot to pick up drinks yesterday. Hopefully the store still has some left by the time I leave today.

Our local Rubio's has a great Taco Tuesday deal; my group's buying as many as we can carry home.

Rubio's has an incredible taco Tuesday. I miss it very much. $1.25 incredibly high quality fish tacos. Well, that was a few years back, it's probably gone up a bit.

All this "worry" but I just don't see Clinton losing.

My motto is no matter who wins, I will wake up like I always do and live my life like I always have and just ride out the next 4 years as we all have since the beginning of America having a president.

The whole reason some people are uppity is because for marginalized people, government can influence if they're able to just 'ride it out' easily. It's not just a moral thing, the whole "Black Lives Matter" movement is because people literally die because of racist attitudes being ok. That's the whole 'privilege' thing, where you might say it's no big deal because it's easy for you to ride it out but can't see how others can't.

I don't know you personally, but a lot of people think like you. I will say this, if you're white and straight in America, regardless of who gets elected life probably won't change for you. When you're any kind of minority, electing trump could have an impact on you simply from how much that would bolster bigots coming out thinking they went back to their preferred time period and with the appointment of right wing supreme court justices.

The only thing I think you can compare the on is what I think will happen after the result. The racist bigots will feel like they have been justified to air their views more vocally etc. But in this csse hopefully it is for a losing side this time.

I'm kind of glad that they have so enthusiastically shown themselves. It makes targeting them and their hate easier for the rest of us and shows just how much work we have to do.

Won't shed a single tear for them after their orange-skinned clown shoes of a candidate loses tonight.

Voted about 30 mins ago. Was in line for 35 to 40 minutes. It's never happened before. I was almost 900 when my polling place is usually around 300. So good to see so many people voting.

High turnout expected here in Maine outside Portland, such that they kicked us non-profits (land conservation trust in my case) out of the high school so they could put more booths in. Shivering in the 28F weather this morning setting up, fun times. At 6:45AM there were already at least a hundred people in line, and very steady flow through mid morning, finally tapering by lunch. Need to head back later today and tear down our little booth, will be interesting how many people are voting late.

Other odd data, someone mentioned that the town had a huge increase in absentee voting, equal to almost half the usual turnout. Seemed odd, not sure if that was goofy or what. Anyway, I love election day, gabbing with candidates, voting, etc., hope everything turns out well.

Comparisons to Brexit aren't entirely unfair. I do think after tonight's vote it's very likely that the United States will not be a part of the European Union.

Jokes aside, it's also not an entirely unfair comparison because it heralds the rise of the extreme right wing in US (and British) politics, which has been on the fringe for a really long time but staying there relatively well contained - and, okay, I get that Clinton will win, but Trump should never have got this far in the first place - the fact that he has is a frightening thing all by itself and indicates a pretty big division in US society. This has to be dealt with somehow, it's not going to go away if (when) Clinton becomes President. There are similarities. The same fears/hatreds/bigotries that have drawn people to Trump are the ones that drew Brits to Farage and leaving the EU. It's isolationism, building a wall. And both your election and our Referendum are showing that there are far too many of those people to just ignore.

Be thankful you don't have prominent national tabloid newspapers owned by right wing billionaires. Those people have been utter scum over the past months and have manipulated public perception to the point where a good chunk of the public now think they are well within their right to sway high court rulings with threats of mob violence.

A victory for those kind of people is not a good thing /understatement
