He's probably just looking at which box he needs to fill in given that he can't read.

Wonder how he'll feel when the actual winner is announced, or is he living in la la land or something?

A public figure's protest vote seems to be have some legitimate use, unlike in most cases. He's probably gotten thousands of people to Wiki the unknown McMullin.

I also used to work IT and management always gets whatever the fuck they want despite IT policy.

And if they really didn't want Hillary using that private server they could have banned the IP or blackholed her email address and forced her to use the Govt. server and Govt. address they assigned her. Someone in IT definitely looked at the situation, and said, "fuck it, okay fine, whatever."

The City Commissioners office in Philadelphia (the office that runs voting here) estimates that turnout will be higher than the 66% it was in 2012. For a plurality black city that was expecting the same or lower turnout without Obama running, I think that's great news.

A very late night for us then!

Not even sure if I'm gonna be up all night. I have one lecture in the morning though almost everyone I know is skipping it for this (we're Law students), so it's pretty interesting and big for us to watch.

I decided to stay home and watch it, it's way too cold to go out.

Lol CNN just called out trump for a tweet. Trump said CNN was reporting a problem with polling machines across the country and the anchor just said we aren't reporting that we said across a single county

A tweet? Did Trump get his phone back for good behavior?

My mom made a Trump supporter run away. He called Hillary a bitch and she started going off on him saying the clothes he wears makes him look poor and that Trump isn't going to support poor people.

Current IT manager and longtime IT pro here ... this ^^^ for days.

Bosses get what they want unless a bigger boss overwrites them, and even then only if boss #1 can't shit on you for going along with it.

Well the U.S. is getting more and more diverse so this bigoted and scary people should become more of a minor problem, still I don't think they shouldn't be ignored.

Britain is also getting more diverse - while the numbers of racists etc may decline, they can still do a shitload of damage on their way out. Of course, we in the UK have an additional problem that doesn't seem to be the case in the US to the same degree ...

Be thankful you don't have prominent national tabloid newspapers owned by right wing billionaires. Those people have been utter scum over the past months and have manipulated public perception to the point where a good chunk of the public now think they are well within their right to sway high court rulings with threats of mob violence.

A victory for those kind of people is not a good thing /understatement

... which is this, our popular and repulsive tabloid media which fuels mob sentiment to hysteria. Hopefully America is just too massive to fall under the sway of Fox News the way large swathes of UK have done to the Mail, Express and Sun.

Regardless, my apologies for our harping on about Brexit - I really think a lot of people have no idea how incredibly anxious and scared it's made a lot of us Brits. The EU has been a fixture since before most of us here on GAF were born. We're totally losing our way, and a huge part of our identity, and we're frightened it could happen to you too - even though yes, rationally, we know it probably won't since our situations are so different.

I don't think Graham has any delusions that Hillary is going to win. He's also publicly said that he will support the nomination hearing of a Hillary supreme court nominee. There's a ton of Senate Republicans to shit on, Graham is not one of them.

Oh I know. A lot of people should be voting though, since every vote counts.

lol I just watched this. Jack Tapper playing it cool, "..the R, while only one letter, is significant in this case" LOL

This is absurd. Mayor of small GA town posted on FB that Republicans vote today and Democrats tomorrow. He deleted the post but was mad that you can't joke around anymore. WTF is wrong with this party? You are a mayor, not a uncle joking around with your nephew or some shit...
I laughed.

Sorry, but if you're dumb enough to fall for that you deserve what you get.

Investing in the military is easy pandering for republicans to military communities, not just people in the military but those around bases. Graham is from South Carolina; there are a lot of military bases in that state.

Yeah, of course, but I want to hear Graham explain it Even if he doesn't truly believe it, he must have a set explanation to support the claim and I'd love to know what it is.

You could slash the military budget by 50% and it'll still most likely be one of the top 4 most highly funded militarys around the world.
For real. I get that we have allies/contracts to support. Half my city is employed at Oshkosh Corporation(They make those cool military trucks). Losing military contracts would be devastating to my city. But there just has to be a better balance.

Did they let her do that or tell her to get the fuck back in line?

They humored her because people are generally scared of any sort of confrontation any more. I was next in line to get my ballot when this rude lady cut in, stuck her ID in front of the election worker (which she didn't even need to do), and started rambling about how she doesn't have time for waiting. The election worker who was about to help me apologized and asked me to wait one moment. I said "Sure, this lady is obviously very important." The rude lady didn't care for my comment but she'll live.
